Why would they reveal it now? C3 is still about a month away! It'd ruin the surprise.

It usually appears a couple days before C3. Definitely not over a week.

Which raises my old question back again, since when was Chester an Admin? He isn't even credited as a Staff Member in the Staff Member in the Staff Thread.

Chester,
just wondering, but does it have to be directly related to SMW or SMW2 or can it be anything that is good and fun? Well, I am thinking of making some levels for SMW2 just for fun, and I also have some projects that I made in my Flash class last year, but the trial ran out. I think I saved them on my Flash drive.
Also, I'm afraid people might say my levels in SMW2 are bad, but I am thinking of making a video to see if people might give good feedback, but they will like only be a test. I already started making a game of SMW2, but they will not be in the real version unless people think they are good. I am not that good of thinking of the plot for the levels if you know what I mean or drawing level icons so it probably won't be as professional as the guy who released Golden Egg, but I will try to design something good.
Also, I have a level I made for a SMW contest, and it's not that level for SMW Productions. I didn't really show it to a lot of people. I am not sure if I should wait to make it a surprise or should I make a video of it before C3 comes out? I don't want to spoil it.

It can be anything. There's non-SMW-related entries in pretty much all of them, even though the focus is SMW (as evidenced by some of them handing out trophies for Wrong Contest for non-SMW stuff).

(Assuming you missed the contest; I'm pretty sure there's rules against submitting the same item to multiple events)
I think both methods are allowed, but considering how near C3 is, I'm not sure how much good a video would do.
But it's your level, and therefore your decision.

This is an SMW themed website after all, so the primary focus of C3 should be... you guessed it... SMW. Even then, we do allow other things to be submitted as well. A general rule of thumb is that the closer it relates to SMW, the better.
Mario themed things in general should be acceptable. General ROM hacking stuff may be allowed depending on what it is. Releasing a Soulja Boy pop remix with a Darkwing Duck music video guest starring Pee-wee Herman and Lordi would not be, as there's no way in heck you'd be able to justify submitting it to an SMW event.
