Welcome to my lame thread for C3 this year. It's just a very small (5 levels long to be exact) demo of my hack, Chcoconilla Paradox. All else I got is some new screens and old videos (the videos are up to date tough). Also, not all of the levels that are shown in the videos or screenshots are included in the demo yet. So I hope you'll enjoy playing the demo, looking at the screens and videos or everything together :3 Have a nice C3, guys! Feedback is very appreciated :3

Here is the demo!

Hey, that's looking great as always, Underway! The levels are all very appealing and the level design looks quite amazing too. I'm sure you put a lot of work into that, and the result is superb! Loving this and I'll play this for sure. Keep it up man! :D
Good hack you've got there, great palettes, too!

Great Demo Undy ;D
It is really awesome :'D
Awesome looking screens! It's like I've always said, you're one of the very best hackers aesthetics-wise, and everything you make has a very complete atmosphere around it. I have yet to play the small demo you just released, but I assure you I will get around to it eventually.

So yeah. Good job like always! I'll probably give you some better feedback once I've played through it. :)
Wow, you've got some very nice stuff here, Underway! I love all the level atmospheres you showed here, but probably the last, orange-ish grassland ruins is my favorite. The title screen is surprisingly dark compared to the level screenshots, although I guess there'll be darker and scarier levels too as the story goes on. :P Once I'll have a bit more time I'll make it sure to try out the demo of your hack. Nice work, overall.
Thanks, guys :3 And the ruins level is the one I just started out of motivation for C3. So no wonder it looks the best. Also remember that the 5 levels in this are half a year old and I think that I got a lot better since then so please don't judge me only by these.
First C3 thread apart from my own that I have viewed this year. That has to be an acomplishment. :D

I was drawn in by the title. I'm abolsutely THRILLED you are releasing a demo of this. I can not wait to play it. :)

Great job on this as always.
I’ve watched this hack for a while now, and I’m really impressed. The palettes are so well created. The gloomy ones proove the best in my opinion. The visionary design is unfaultable, and the level design doesn’t look half bad either. Very, very well done. Keep up the good work!
you know that i love your hacking style, and since i saw pretty much all of these screenshots before, and also after i played your fantastic entry on this year contest, i'm in urge to play this demo. unfortunately i can't play it today, but tomorrow i'll write a full review of it. Nice stuff ;)

I really love your level design. Looks amazing!
For a vanilla hack, this looks absolutely fantastic, Underway! I must say that the level design is amazing, it looks really detailed and unlinear. It looks as if you've made good use of Direct Map16 access to make your levels more interesting. As Hadron also said, the level atmospheres here are really nice, they're shown perfectly by the palettes used. Keep up the good work!

Man oh man, this looks AMAZING! I'm a sucker for clever vanilla, yes, but jeez, this is awesome! The palettes work really well with each other, everything seems to have a great atmosphere, and all the custom stuff I see fits very well with the vanilla SMW style, which is a big plus. I especially love what you did with the grassy castle, the underground grassland place, the underwater cave, and the misty forest!

This is a must-download!
You know, it's beatifull hacks like these that inspire me, I really enjoy your work!
I love how your levels are always filled with little details, it looks like you really put a lot of effort into it. I especially liked Mist Morning Bay.
I'm confident that your newer levels are even better, I can't wait to see more.
Thanks but this isn't vanilla... you know? xD
Yeah, I know it's not vanilla, but you've put the original SMW graphics to great use; that's why I said "clever vanilla".

Not vanilla, but vanilla-esque. It has that SMW feeling to it, which is certainly a good thing, yet it also feels new and refreshing. You've done a great job in having your new graphics match the SMW style.
This is the most beautifull (semi)vanilla hack i've seen in my entire life! :D
Ok, I just finished all the levels (well, except for Mist Morning Bay's normal exit), and I gotta say: awesome! I love the music, especially the song used in the underground bonus rooms in the first two levels, and both of the songs used in Mist Morning Bay. And, well, I must admit that I laughed out loud at the little cameo you got going on in one of the levels (can't remember exactly which one).

But man, your levels are awesomely designed. The first few levels were easy enough that a terrible player like me could get by hurting, but never dying. Starting with the third level (the first one with a secret exit, in fact), the hack starts showing its longer ordeals, with a little bit more difficulty thrown in. I must also comment on your placement of Dragon Coins, regular coins and also coin blocks: they were placed in situations where you would have to do something to get them, such as destroy a block, ride a Math Platform, and so on. I always try to collect every coin and power-up in all levels, and I ended up with 22 lives at the end of my run.

To summarize: you're awesome and your hack is awesome. Keep on being awesome.
