Hey, I like that! Nice samples, and I love that adventure feeling it has!

Beta 2 of Route 38
I realised I meant to have the strings take over the main theme half way through and forgot to designate it. So here we go.

Never heard the original, but for some reason the strings sound weird to me. Maybe if you lowered the volume of the high notes?

I've been trying to work on $EE tuning a bit more but the vibrato in this violin sample makes it very difficult to tune. In the end I just settled for this:
Route 38, beta ver. 3

The trumpet/brass sample sounds a little flat, but other than that, this port is sounding really good. When I first heard it in the IRC I while back, I thought it was something from A Link to the Past. It may be due to those samples you're using.

Version 4
Probably the version I'll end up looping. Expect it soon.

It's coming along really nicely, and I like the bass. The trumpet is really sharp though, and you might want to consider adjusting its tuning. I hope you plan on adding more sections to the song, because it actually sounds pretty empty if you're giving the song a 16-bit arrangement lift.. most specifically the trumpet chords around 0:18.

The thing is, the unused track as seen in Ruby (which is what this is based off of) only used these 4 tracks. I'd rather stay true to the original.

Hmm, good rythem, good beat, your problem is with pitch.
Have a close look at channel 2 and channel 3 mainly.
No offense to you, but it seems abit weak, you might want to improve the octave and see if it does better.
Keep at it.

Pretty cool. Not familiar with Street Fighter music, though.
