I've had the game for a long time, but only really gotten into it now.
I can't log into steam, but luckily Binding of Isaac works just fine offline(running the exe file direcly). I might not be able to get the achievements now, but who cares :V
Also, the game is really damn fun, but perhaps a bit too easy =/
Still, I haven't gotten bellow Womb II yet, so maybe that's worse.
Also favorite character is Cain, followed by Judas. Cain because of his epic luck(at least 3 blood bags every run, the dollar, and several hp ups from beggars :3). Judas because of his awesome strength(and book of Belial)

I beat Mom the other day. Half a heart left. One of the most exhilarating bosses I've ever beat. Maybe the fact of starting all over if you loose is enough motivation! ^.^
Now I'm trying to get to the womb, this shall be fun :3

Still don't know what final part was added after Wrath of the Lamb, but Once you get to sheol, that feeling will never be better.

Probably. I haven't activated wrath of the lamb yet, but it's already getting tough. I've beaten sheol four times now, with Cain, Judas, Magdalene and Isaac, in that order :3
But seriously, beating Satan with Eve and ??? is going to be a bitch... perhaps I should go ahead and activate the expansion; I'll have a higher chance of overpowered items, from what I've heard :V
Also, just got back unto steam. Getting all those achievements at once was fun =P

I just reached Sheol with ???. I wasn't very lucky in getting soul hearts, but I did get lucky enough to get the Nail. Which increases attack and gives a heart for the current room (though with ??? it's a soul heart, but interestingly enough, it stays).

Yeah, when playing as ???, pretty much everything that would give you a temporary heart container instead gives you a permanent soul heart. If you can get the Liberty Cap trinket, you can abuse it by constantly moving between 2 rooms, since one of it's random effects (which changes when you enter a room) gives you a temporary heart container.

The Nail always gives a permanent spirit heart to everybody. It's much like the book of revelations.

I was playing as ???, I assume the items originally give real hearts and most memory and logic i have for the game goes away.

Blue Baby works really well with the liberty cap, which results in random spirit hearts being gained.

And I just finished off The Cathedral with Isaac (Isaac and Kain now). Doing it with the other characters is going to be quite annoying since they all pretty much suck with their starting gear. Why does it have to be so inconvenient to unlock the Polaroid. D:

Yeah, Wrath of the Lamb introduces a lot of shitty stuff like rooms where it's absolutely impossible to not get hit. Also bosses like Conquest or Isaac with their light ray attacks which are also impossible to dodge on the spot since they spawn randomly somewhere in the room. The game would need some serious balancing and stats recognizing (I'm looking at you Maggy vs War) before you can remotely call it fair. Right now it's pretty much Luck: The Game.
I managed to beat The Chest with Isaac and Cain so far and a few mins ago died to Blue Baby with Judas. Gotta love it when you farm a shitton of money and don't find any slot machines to use them on. Or don't have the required luck to get some decent loot out of them if you DO happen to come across one or two. Fuck this game.

IMPORTANT BUMP
http://sticktwiddlers.com/2012/08/27/the-binding-of-isaac-remake-coming-to-consoles-pc/
Will add as much as the wrath of the lamb did AND co-op. I hope it's a free update on Steam so I dont have to buy it again, even though I didn't buy it.

From the way he said it sounds like it'll be its own standalone, non-flash title, meaning it's likely it will be a separate release on Steam from the normal Binding of Isaac. But hey, I've bought it twice already and, for me, a remake isn't out of the question to qualify for a third buy.
