Why don't we use Konami code for something cool?
for example secret foruns?
Code for konami code:
Codevar kkeys = [], konami = "38,38,40,40,37,39,37,39,66,65";
$(document).keydown(function(e) {
kkeys.push( e.keyCode );
if ( kkeys.toString().indexOf( konami ) >= 0 ){
$(document).unbind('keydown',arguments.callee);
// Launch easter egg here
}
});
Also konami code:
Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A and Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A

"We".
I can understand it just fine.
He's saying that he thinks it'd be cool if putting in the Konami code on this site would trigger some kind of easter egg. (But don't make it a bunch of Pinkie Pie's running across the screen that's been done already.)

Especially since Luigi370 put it into his post, both in code form and in plain text right below.
Shows how good some people read posts before commenting!

I think they're just being prejudicial because they don't want to admit Luigi370 came up with a pretty decent idea.
Anyway, if there were a decent reason to enter the code--such as access to a secret forum--then I would support this. Maybe, it would lead to unlocking and downloading some incredible Contra music/ports. Similar codes from other games could be used to unlock secret, unreleased DKC/Castlevania/etc. music/sprites/stuff.
Or, maybe, just a secret forum. Either way, this would be fun to implement.

Uh oh, sorry jerk moment. It's because of Luigi370, really.
Well, since this is a game site-based, I'm supporting this idea. It's a very cool thing internet allows us to do, by the way.

But he wasn't the first to come up with the Konami code idea. It's been done a million times before on other websites. If anything, this idea is as plagiarist as most of his ports.

What?
That's like saying Kieran plagiarized SMWC by reusing various elements from Acmln, even though Kieran coded the site by scratch.

You think Luigi coded that himself? Doesn't even include imports.

It's not like he said he created it himself.

Using the same idea as someone else is not plagiarism unless it has two properties: first, the idea must actually have "come from" the other person's idea, and second, the idea must be claimed to have come from yourself first. While the first probably holds, I doubt the second one does. Bad show.
