hello and im a noob to to this site and i need a bit of help...
so i want to play the hacks and all but i can't launch them i see there .ip files and i read the F.A.Q. but i just don't know what to do or use to launch it...
so please help meh bye :3
AND if it helps im a mac

Download a ROM (legally I am not allowed to tell you where, but I really wish I could)

A ROM isn't all you will need. You will need an emulator to play the ROM, an IPS patcher to apply the IPS files to your ROM to make it into a hack, and a Mac-friendly version of Lunar Magic to make your own hack. A Mac LM we have...sort of. As for emulators and patchers...well...I don't know.
Can someone help us with finding these things? I'll need them myself shortly, when I switch to a Mac next month.
And I will ban the first Apple-hater who derails this thread.

You can find which tools will work on a Mac here. (For some things, you'll need Darwine and/or Mono)
According to the list, only Racing Stripe and Status Bar Editor cannot be run on a Mac.

Some emulators autopatch. If so, rename the rom to the same name and folder as the ips.
READ THIS: try the above first, then you want to mess around with patching. And you do need a mac emulator. Personally, I only have evil experiences with Macs. (I hate you, Steve Jobs!)

Okay download the ROM Hack that you would like to play.Save the IPS file to a location in your computer.Now go download a clean Super Mario World ROM.(Sorry I can;t tell you where to get one.)Now put it anywhere in your computer.(I suggest near the IPS file you downloaded.)Now double click the IPS file and when a little box appears click "Apply IPs Patch" and find your clean SMW ROM and double click it.Now open up what was once the clean ROM in an SNES Emulator and viola!You can now play that ROM.
