how can you add a new entrance to normaly unavailable levels?
i noticed there are a lot of test levels in the game that are not used
i want to keep the overworld and the game exactly as it is, but i want to extend upon it by editing these test levels to actual playable levels on the overworld
also is it possible to increase the size of the overworld?

Nope, you're limited to a total of 96 levels accessible from the overworld. You can use any level you want as a sublevel (including the "TEST" levels), but the only ones that you can access from the overworld are 0-24 and 101-13B, or with this patch, 0-5F (and not 101-13B). Pretty much everything in SMW is coded to expect 96 overworld levels, so while it would be possible to have more, it would require extensive ASM hacking. Expanding the overworld would have a similar problem: it is possible, but only with a great deal of ASM hacking.

im not even gonna try ASM hacking, i dont even know what that is
has that been done before though? and if so would it be possible to load that rom with lunar magic so you can edit it yourself?
if not, then i guess i'll just have to make what i was planning a game on itself

As far as I know, no nobody has done that.
But just out of curiosity, why the world would you need more than 96 levels? It's more than enough!

i just wanted to add another island with a bunch of levels while still having the original game fully available to play too
i have played this game so many times that i know all levels very well, and i wish there were more levels
i still really enjoy playing it though(witch is why i wanted the original the way it is), but to extend upon it would be really awesome
