I lost my second judge at the last minute, so my results will be used as the official results. If you have any concerns about my rankings, you can do one of two things: ask me why I gave you the score I did (even though the text file included at the bottom of this post explains it), or whine about how cruel and biased I am to your friends.

Anyway, I had a ton of fun judging this. I found it very difficult to pick a winner amongst the top three, as they were all very special in their own way. You should all be proud of yourselves though - there were some stunning overworlds produced in this contests.

Without further ado, here are the results:

Jimmy52905: 40/40
Lynnes: 39/40
Azurik: 38/40

Ladida: 37/40
Pikerchu13: 36/40
Exor: 35/40
reghrhre: 34/40
Ripperon-X: 33.5/40
1337h4mmerbr0z: 32.5
Kenny: 32/40
Lunatic Wolf: 31.5/40
Jonny: 31/40
aj6666: 30/40
cheat-master30: 27/40
TomPhanto: 26/40
Henix: 25/40
levelengine: 24/40
camoslash: 23/40
Egadd: 22.5/40
yogui: 22/40
Ersanio: 6.9/40
OGS93: 0.1/40
Teo17: D/Q

And of course, if you want a breakdown of comments on your entry, you can find that here:

Enjoy, and thanks for participating!

FIRST!

Suck it, someone who had nothing to do with the contests gets the first post!

EDIT: Also, congrats to Jimmy, Lynnes, and Azurik for their scores

Holy crap, 40/40 for Jimmy? I don't think I can remember that there was a full score in a contest on this site, ever. That's really amazing (not to mention, his OW too).

Congrats for the other winners as well (looks like it was a strong competition, after all)! I've tried most of the entries and most of them were pretty awesome (definitely better than what I could've done).

It's the first time I've ever given out a perfect score (that I can recall). In truth, it should probably be 39.5 since I had a few small gripes with it, but he would have won regardless.
Hell yeah, leader of the non-medal-winners.

Had a hell of a time making my map; quite worth it :D

Congrats to y'all who participated! Keep up the good score Ersan.

Well I didn't do too bad I don't think. I'm pretty happy with my placing, especially since this is my first contest. Congrats everyone, especially winners. #w{=)}

Also, I just have a thing for random level names. I think they add some sort of shock factor for when you enter the level. Or something.

I have to say that I'm still pretty surprised that I won. o_o I honestly felt that several of my submaps' designs were a bit weak. Though, I'm pretty pleased with the overall result and it was really fun to make.

Congrats to everyone else who participated! You guys did a great job too and I'm pretty impressed with some of the other overworlds.

After seeing Jimmy's in the SS&V thread, I can see that he deserved to win. Congrats Jimmy!!

And he ninja'd me.
I figured I'd see all the people who I thought were gonna be ranked high, actually getting ranked high up. Too bad I didn't even attempt to TRY harder and redo my map considering how early and relatively fast I tried to finish it just so I don't have to worry about it the last minute. Either way I do highly agree with the comments I was given, and at least now I know what I should do to improve next time around. Especially after reading the comments given to others.

I was hoping to actually be placed in the top 5 but 7's not bad.

Either way congratz to the others! I can definitely see some of the hard work some of you put into yours. And hopefully we'll see another overworld contest sometime in less than 3 years

Kinda surprised with the results. I mean, Jimmy's map design was quite weak and there were some things which looked out of place to me so I am surprised he managed to get a perfect score. In the end though his map was really the only unique one with some amazing effects so I guess he deserved to win. It would be a shame if his OW didn't get utilised somewhere.

..come to think about it, I am really not sure why no one really tried adding those type of effects to OWs before. It's not much different from adding effects to levels. Just some HDMA, layer 3 and sprite work is needed I think.

Anyway, congrats to the winners. :)
Made this image of the winrars.

Only has first 7 because laziness ?_?

Congratulation to the winners (Jimmy got full score, wow), and to the other contestants, who made some pretty interesting overworlds too.. expecially Ersanio because he had the best score after all =P

Anyway I've hardly seen such amazing overworlds o_o
I knew the ice world was terrible. I just knew it.

Aside from that, I'm actually surprised I scored as high as I did, and I'd like to congratulate Jimmy for coming in out of nowhere, surprising everyone with his outstanding entry, and winning the contest. Also, I'd like to congratulate the other guys for being cool and making sweet Overworlds. Except Yogui and Ersanio, for obvious reasons.
Congrats to all the winners and high rankers! You guys deserve that! Although it's unfortunate that the second judge was lost at the last minute, these results seem fair.

EDIT: IT IS ODD TO GET A RANK OF ODDISH (except it fits me really well)

LOL at the comments for OGS93's entry!

-OVERALL:

Jimmy's overworld made me fucking SPEECHLESS! 8>
I laughed at my score and the way SNN judged it.

Congratulations to the winners!

Congratulations to the winners! And I especially loled at the comments on OGS93's entry.
A big congratulations to all of the winners. You definitely deserved it.

I'm also a bit surprised at the results in some spots, especially the order of the top three. Ah well, the difference in scoring is really small, so it doesn't matter much.

Well done, everyone.
Great job guys! I'm certainly happy with where I placed (though I definitely could of done better). And congrats to Ersan, for getting the coveted score of 6.9.
8th place? I knew this would be in the top 10. Congratulations to the main winners as well, especially Jimmy. I hope the OW GFX do get released. They were stunning.
