Do you have a link to the most updated music importer tool handy? I'd like to try my hand at making a few ports for the game.

Here's messiaen's XML importer, S.N.N.. [XML Importer Download] You'll also need Musescore if you want to convert MIDI files into XML files. It should be pretty straightforward from there, just import your sequences with obj importer.

Thank you.
I should also ask: is there a comprehensive instrument/setlist floating around somewhere? I played around with the program for a bit and I noticed an absolute ton of ???s everywhere. Do these still need to be filled out?

For some reason, I'm the only one that's gotten around to making an instrument list. Unfortunately, I made that after messiaen pretty much disappeared from Earth.

10 password tries later ...
Just grab the source for the XML Importer and fill the instrument data. Actually, I think someone else has written another XML or MIDI to M64 format application, you should look at it and see if result's aren't better than mine. Or improve on my source, it's very minimalistic.
I don't have the source with me, but I posted a link containing source to pretty much everything 1 or 2 years ago (time flies by). If the link's dead, ask Skelux for it and host it here. Also, it would be a good idea to also host documents.

Fortunately, messiaen, I grabbed your source on jul quite a while ago and still have it. I'll see if I can get around to adding the instruments... And maybe if I can figure your code, I'll see if I can do something like add instrument 0x7F for drums.
Also, if we're thinking of the same XML importer, there was one that was pretty bad... It was certainly not easy to work with. I found it on the jul forum...?
Edit: I edited the source and added all instruments, you can get the updated version here. Next objective is to possibly stop the repeating instruments or add the drum instrument.

Care to post the source files cpuHacka101? I would like to also edit some of the programs messiaen made.

Just updated the first post with some more tools. I want to eventually make this a complete list so if you think I'm missing any tools, say and I will include them.

You should add LemAsm and Renegade64 for people who are going to hack SM64 in MIPS and you should also add the Model Replacer that Skelux made.

This is the main object editor, without this tool you would not be able to add/remove and star/warps/objects/enemies. It also come with a useful texture editor.
How exactly do you add and remove objects? I've been looking in it for awhile and can't find anything.

You don't exactly "remove" objects. Each level comes with its own amount of objects, and it's impossible to delete them as you describe.
However, you could make an object disappear by changing the object combo to "Empty Object".

Ops sorry I meant "replace", one of the limitations of the SM64 engine is that you can't remove objects on a level. You shouldn't need to anyway and if you don't want objects in your hack you can just set it to not show up in any of your level acts.
