So this comes with a bit of a story.
I took a Drawing 101 class last fall. College course, so some level of sophistication was required and I had a LOT of homework. Most the assignments allowed you to draw your own subject (within specifications), so I had a lot of opportunities to draw things I like. Ninja Turtles action figures, etc. Given my layout, you can guess what I really wanted to draw, but chickened out all the time and never did.
Until the final.
It's been ~6 months since then. This has been sitting on my desk collecting dust and being rubbed by various things, so the colors have faded a bit. Also, since it's so huge (little over two feet wide, not counting the borders), I couldn't find a scanner for it for quite some time (and the one I did sucked). I did what I could to color correct it, but it's crooked and has those weird lines.
Huge image.
Type of drawing: Colored pencils on black paper.
References used: I used references for the two Lunas, but the rest was drawn freehand.
Final grade: A
Class reaction: Standing ovation for a few seconds.
Day: Good one.

so I was drawing an image of a lady's face for shits and giggles, when I showed it to Crystal King over teamviewer during shading. I was zoomed in on the top left, and I realized it looked a lot like Smalls' avatars.

That looks quite nice.
Anyhow, I decided to draw Rainbow Dash in multiple styles.
If only I'd digitally inked and colored it.

Thanks, I thought using Pac-Man as an eye would work out well.
Anyway, new piece o' "art."
And man, do I hate coloring in GIMP. I'm off to go find some other program, with which I intend to color.

@Bluemoon: Looks good, although there isn't much else to say aside from that. I rather like the shading, though - it really does give the drawing a rather interesting and sort of archaic look. Nice job.
A little Photoshop practice just to get back into the swing of things.

The really thin outlines and the eyes especially make me think of that show. Great drawing!
