Well, good luck getting everything up and running again. I was very disorganized with SMW2+3, and I also found that taking a break was very beneficial. For every road bump, I was able to find some workaround, so I'm confident you can do the same. I'm glad to hear how far it's come along, and look forward to hopefully playing it sometime in the near future. =)

I'm pretty certain that you will be able to find a method around it. Did you move everything to a new ROM?

Organization is probably the most helpful things you can do to your hack. I cleaned all my SMW hack folders, and it's quite a bit easier to hack now.
Well, good luck with the rest of your fixing and upkeep! I'd love to see this hack finished one day, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. ;)

Cool.

What's wrong with the RAM at, say, $7FA000? If you need 16-bit RAM, yes, I can see why that would be troublesome, but there should still be plenty of RAM left unless you need, like, thousands of bytes in a row. And even if that is the case, you can still use SRAM.
Originally posted by Dispari ScuroThere's conflicts with some really important stuff, and I can't get no-fade patches, SMTKO's custom Bonus Stars, or screen-scroll pipes to work. Those are like the only things holding up SMTKO from working with the latest LM, but they're seriously big things and we can't push on that way.
I'll help if you'd like. I've gotten screen-scrolling pipes to work even with LM 1.82.
Originally posted by Dispari ScuroSo SMTKO is sort of on hold again... for an indefinite amount of time, until we can figure out what to do. Either it's going to take a lot more work than I've already thrown away getting it to work, or we're just going to have to backpedal and use the old LM. Which itself is a pain after all the effort we put into making it work, especially considering we made some levels and stuff that take advantage of the new LM features.
Don't give up. Surely whatever the problems are, they could be fixed eventually...right?
Originally posted by Dispari ScuroThe worst part is, as far as backtracking goes, I didn't keep track of where all the hacks were inserted in the old ROM because I changed them for the new ROM. So going back to the old version and having to update some patches may not even be an option.
What a pain.
Ugh...I know how you feel. Maybe you could try combining a lot of patches into one (like I do for some hacks)? Making a global incsrc'd file for all the freespace addresses can also help.
Also, there's a certain sprite-related thing you might want to wait for...

How did she get to have the ExGFX sprites shown in Lunar Magic? It doesn't work for me.

BUMPTY BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMP!!!! Someone must close this, and don't bump threads that are far too old (I'm not backseat moderating, just so you know).

Guys stop being sarcastic, the only part of his post that was backseat moderating was the part he said that somebody should close this. Everything else was merely a suggestion.
Also@the bumper, you have to set the sprite GFX in the sprite GFX slots not the FG slots.

FYI: it's not a must to reply when someone bumps an old thread. (especially if you aren't answering the question)
@mockingod: I think he meant how can you display the custom sprites in Lunar Magic.
@Benjamin: if you meant that, read this tutorial.
Closed.
(Dispari, you know what to do if you want to post in this thread again)
