Music

Please first read this:

Yay, these are some of my ports. Feel free
to you these if you give credit and the txt is
intreduced. Hope you like these but note
that I'm still a beginner. And sorry if these
are unlooped. :(

Final Fantasy I - Title:
Maybe you know this one from Mario's
house of my old halck "The Lost Woods".
It has no rhythm and I don't really like it.
I think I made it in about 5 minutes.

Contra - Stage 2:
I like this one too, but there's no txt for you
guys, sorry. Maybe I'll use it for my hack
"TEMP". I think it fits at lava caves, or
volcano levels. Maybe I'm going to release
this sometime, but not yet.

Tales of Symphonia - Forest of The Treant:
That's a better one, I kinda' like it. I used
it in 4th level of my old hack. There's also
a version "Tales of Phantasia" that was
uploaded to the music section, but it
sounds completly different.

I gave The Eight Map Pieces a try, and I found it pretty pleasant overall, so good work so far. I'd like to see what it looks like by the time it's complete, so good luck making more progress (:

A couple of things, though. Having to go back and forth carrying springboards to get the secret exit to the switch palace was really annoying for me, so I'd recommend implementing the secret exit in a different manner altogether. It didn't give me a great first impression.

Also, I feel like the jump in difficulty for the first castle is a bit much. The previous levels mostly use walking grounded enemies, but all of a sudden there are tricky spinbounces, enemy combinations, and the Mega Spiny boss from SMWCP1. I'd consider toning it down a bit or pushing it back a world or two. That might just be me, though.

Your hack: it's a pretty decent hack. :) While I think the graphics could be choosen better so they would fit with eachother, I can't say I dislike them (I'm just kinda bored of seeing that castle tileset though).

Your level design was pretty interesting overall, I like the way you hid most of the bonus spots. But I have to agree with what Axem said about the springboard part. Also I too found the castle kind of too hard for a first world, especially because of the way you arranged the spikes and the thwomps (that part with the thwomp, thwimp and falling spike was by far the most annoying). If you could tone down those a bit it would be really better.

Also the final boss song seems to not work in accurate emulators (it plays no sound at all and when I beat the boss it crashes instead of playing the "boss defeated" sound). I had some trouble on the switch palace too, when I got an 1-up, kicked a shell and hit the switch at the same time the same happened, but I don't know if that's really the music's fault.

Your joke hack: lel, definitely should play it sometime.

Your graphics: yeah, I can't say I'm a true fan of them. :/ They all look quite bland and too simple, but you're going the right way. Good luck with drawing in the future!

Your music: it's a good start. I feel they all sound quite empty however, and the number of channels in them kinda enforces that. They're pretty decent ports though, and the instrumental choices were good. Wishing you good luck with porting as well!

Your palettes: that seems to be some of your strong points, all of them look pretty good! I'm not a fan of the contrast of green in the last one, but that could be just me. :P
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
@AxemJinx: Kinda' glad that you like it, yeah I should really make it easier and I'll rethink about the secret exit.

@Alex No: Nope O.O

@Koopster: Maybe I'm going to replace the catle set with another one.
I'm also trying to compose a boss song myself, if I can ask, which
emulator did you used? Also I'm not really pleased with the graphics
too. Thanks for the feedback.

I played it with Snes9x inside ZMZ.
