Pretty cool remix! I do think this song needs a stronger bass, though. If you could vary up some of the rhythms (the percussion and the accompaniment guitar chords), I think that could improve this remix.

Keep remixing, man! There aren't enough people doing remix/composition MMLs on this site!

Considering this was a request, I am concerned over the second version utilizing non-SMW samples on slots 01, 04, and 0E, which are all shared by the default SFX, causing the SFX to sound very funky. Assuming this is likely an AMK, AM405 or AMM port, I would suggest looking into loading samples past slot 13 (AM405 $E5, AMM $F3 (I don't recommend this tutorial, but it does mention how to use $F3), AMK #instruments)

Regarding the actual song itself...

SMW Samples Version: Nicely done. For the most part, it sounds great! I'd say this is good where it currently is, but if you want to improve it, here are my suggestions. First, the @0 and @4 are very harsh, and I would suggest lowering their volume levels a bit more (Not too much though, because they actually play the melody). Some of the harmony notes are also different from the original, and I would look into that as well. Getting even more in-depth, I also feel like the notes hold out a lot longer than the original, where the original took advantage of staccato (short notes) to make the song really... bouncy. At 0:31 I also think there should be an instrument change at that point on the @0 instruments, because the jumping notes sounds kinda funky otherwise. (iirc the original actually had an instrument change there too)

Non-SMW Samples Version: Pretty much everything said in the last paragraph besides the volume levels. In addition to that, however, sample 01 is very sharp in cents ($EE) tuning, and I would suggest lowering that by lowering the semitone tuning with h-1, then using a high $EE value to bring the pitch back up by... $EE $A0 I guess? You might need to play with that $A0 value. Sample 04 is also just a tad sharp, and you could try lowering that with the same method, but use an even higher $EE value, like $EE $E5. (Again, just an estimate from what I'm hearing, so I could be wrong with that value.)

Thank you CrispyYoshi. I took your advice and I fixed up the sampled version. Stupid of me, I already fixed the sample placements so it won't screw up the SFX, but I didn't send the updated SPC on this site. So, there should be no problems of that in the version I gave HOTL since he got the most updated one. Now, I made it more staccato using ADSR and getting the volume more accurate. So, here it is:

Thank you Ruberjig, but it was CrispyYoshi's suggestions that made it sound better. :)

Yeah, I don't know why but the Dig Dug song felt a little empty so I tried to add percussion that fits it from scratch to to pump it up a bit. I'm glad you like them.

Certainly quite the interesting theme... I'd see this in a roller coaster type level, or even something athletic. I haven't heard the original, so not really much feedback can be given.
