Problems with Zelda Classic

My mom and I are trying to enjoy quests for Zelda Classic, but we keep having issues that we didn't have until about a week ago that seem to keep getting increasingly and increasingly apparent and harder and harder to fix.

But first, I have to tell you information that you should know. When my mom and I play, I connect my computer to my HDTV through HDMI, and we play the game full screen 640x480 using a PlayStation 3 controller through Bluetooth.

From about a week ago, sometimes when I start the game, the colors start glitching out. This was weird because this never happened before. I used to be able to fix it and turn the colors back to normal by doing something like switching the game to window mode and switching back to full screen or something like that. I don't remember exactly how. Now, the colors seem to glitch out WHENEVER the game goes to full screen. Everything is completely normal whenever the game is in window mode. Sometimes I am able to fix the glitched colors if I do stuff such as switch the game to window mode and switch back to full screen, press the "Windows" key, disconnect the HDMI cord from the computer and plug it back in, close Zelda Classic and open it up again, restart my computer and try again, or a combination. I even tried redownloading Zelda Classic with no luck. Sometimes nothing seems to work. This just seems to randomly happen when Zelda Classic is opened. This is getting extremely annoying and I'm really getting mad. Do you think I'd want to play a Zelda game that looks like this

or this?

The first picture has the glitched colors that I'm writing about. That's not actually what the title screen looks like. I guess there were some issues with Print Screen. I had to Print Screen because Zelda Classic's screenshots look how the game is supposed to look, as seen with the second picture, which is how the first screenshot is supposed to look. While the colors are glitched, the Triforce still flashes correctly and is never black. The leaves and the sword are also colored correctly. The top two tiles of the waterfall are actually colored the same color that the background is supposed to be normally. The rest of the waterfall is colored correctly. I think everything else in the first screenshot is accurate. Also, note the area around the game screen. While it's normally supposed to be black, it's a solid pink while the colors are glitched, which is weird in itself. Is there any way to fix this for good? You can have these if you want, I just need help!

Uhh, I'm not entirely sure, except maybe try a different emulator. I would recommend Jnes. Or play the GBA version of the game on VBA.
It's Zelda Classic. It's not a ROM or a ROM hack or an emulator or anything like that. It's a computer program that recreates "The Legend of Zelda" from scratch as well as gives the game a lot of extra functionality.

Oops, guess I misread it then. Then I have no idea, sorry.

Download the program to your computer use your current resolution.
See what happens upon loading, hit esc choose about and look at what it says.

Unless your willing to tinker your tv vga option to use 640x800 or a used 17 inch monitor/TV it wont work.
You can check with the creator of that program and see if he may or fix the program to use something bigger.

Since this is on your ps3 why not use a softmod or homebrew and use snes9gx port ?

Its a nice program but this won't work out on higher resolutions.
Without giving you rainbow color garbage on the big screen.

Try downloading an emulator and a ROM, and see if that works. I recommend FCE Ultra. I recommend it over Jnes. Unless you really want this "extra functionality" it gives you. But in that case, I don't know what to tell you. I play The Legend of Zelda, not this "Zelda Classic" or whatever. If I'm playing a classic game, then I play the REAL classic game, without edits, no matter how minor. It just... feels more authentic that way. And I like games played authentically.
