Actually, it's a pretty easy jump (even for me, sucking at playing). You don't even need to jump on the dry bones, you can just fall on it as well. (By the way, the donut bridge acts like a cloud, meaning it's not actually a ceiling.)

I meant jumping out of the alcove. Not falling in. It's probably easier for you because you designed it and tested the level multiple times.
Yeah, I know. It's still pretty easy for me, but I'll remove some parts of the ceiling.

Also, why not try it out yourself? It isn't too hard to make a small level part like that.
I smell a demo-release soon... By the way, Iggy's Tower made me think it was a pyramid with that tileset. It won't really matter though, because after all, the Tower is in the desert. Other than that, I really don't see anything wrong with this, so keep it up!
AtomicShroom, when the Dry Bones is right under you, you fall on him and hold the jump button. It's really not that hard. Anyway, the tension is building up as this gets closer to being done. Also, Master Peguin, there are 2 submitted, and 4 in progress.
nice hack,nice plot,nice music.
Cant wait to play this hack.Im really exited what could possibly come later in the hack. One more hack im looking forward to play like A Yoshi Quest.Your level design looks very creative too.Well we will see when you realese the first demo.
Let's use that little bump for some updates. ;)

The "End of Demo" level, for those who haven't checked the Screenshots thread yet.

The final overworld, with all paths revealed.

Normally you start below the bridge... how did you get this key, then?
(By the way, Donut Bridges act like clouds.)

A message from Iggy.

The secret bonus level. Since it's a cave, I'll probably make new "Bonus cave" ExGFX for it.
Everything is looking really great so far, WhiteYoshiEgg. I would only suggest using different graphics for the Donut Bridge and a different palette for the Munchers. I can't wait to play this.

I'll echo Andy on this one, the munchers could at least use a palette change. The bridge is kinda meh IMO. Doesn't look at all like it should be a cloud.
For the bridges, why don't you use both the top part of the net, and the bottom part of the net, then set it as a cloud/rope tile? It looks neat to me, but you need the hand bridge from the Donut bridge.
That overworld looks to short. Unless you need to go one way and then go to the castle, it would make this hack too short. It may seem like a good idea but it causes one to lose the motivation. Also, why does everybody think the munchers look bad? Sure, the yellow should be changed but it really doesn't look as bad as you make it out to be.

You have to hit that block...

May I suggest changing the graphics of the grey castle block sprite so they fit with the SMB2 temple foreground? It looks out of place.

Also, the donut bridges really doesn't look like they act as clouds, you should find a better replacement.

This is what I meant about the net bridge.
Photobucket
The handbar is on top, and the net is on the bottom. They both overlap Mario. You could also set them as cloud tiles if you want.
Looks really nice! Keep it up. =)
Looks great, man. I love to see how your hacking skills have been improving since years... Now I can't wait to check your demo and I have a pretty good feeling that it'll turn out to be awesome.
Thanks guys. :D
Also, a small update:

20% custom GFX for the moving castle block. We're not far away from the demo I guess.
look very good, but i don't like the cape back the pokey:
it seems too black.
good anyway
It's a good idea, but yeah the cape should be refined a bit more.
The cape just looks like that in this one frame. When Pokey's not standing, it looks a lot better.
Also, the demo should be out very soon - almost everything's fixed, and the last level can be considered done. However, if the ASM hack I planned works (which is unlikely, but anyway), I will add another level to the first world!
