Yes, but actually I prefer to mess with the headers and palettes to find a good 'atmosphere', there's alot to expect from my hack, people will be impressed with the job i'm making(No presuming, I have done more than level edits)

Who knows? maybe extra 2 and 3 will be long and easy levels. I have alot of free indexes and space to use but these are kept for the final.
well now that I think, I'm not going to release any demo.... until world 5 is done. that's pretty much for a demo, no?

Er, yeah, I don't quite get why you leave Extra 2 and 3 for the final levels, but eh, if you measure the length of levels for giving % instead of the number of levels it's okay.
And, 5 Worlds are much for the first demo, yes yes.

I didn't mean extra 2 and 3 are for the final... well, all the extras will be made once 6-8 is finished and such, I must save freespace for these as well.
Also I decided a 5 world demo would be enough for me, mostly because I'm keeping this as a surprise to everyone, but at least I'm showing some screenshots, not often but still. I also posted two videos(mostly outdated now)
I hope my hack will be the 5th completed YI hack ever.
you can complain but that's my choice.

This is my second level ever. I am new to YI hacking and I am trying to get used to it. This level is a bit harder then most, but mainly so the people watching this video will have more enjoyment! I got pretty creative in here, I am pretty happy with it. Enjoy!

Your level design is good, even though you can get stuck easily, once you run out of eggs, that's a flaw of it. The level is well-designed and pretty hard, as I can see; are you planning to make a nearly-kaizo Yoshi's Island, seeing that this one is the second level (or a later Fortress/Castle)? The design also kind of reminds me of Kamek's Revenge.

Awesome level you've got there. You used some really creative things in it. I especially liked the boss, as far as I know nobody's used the Chomp Chase sprite as a boss yet. How did you get the Tap-Tap to bounce on the spikes like that? Usually Tap-Taps just jump up and down on the spot.

My fisrt attempt to resurrect an unused background which actually does not exist...
err, nothing else to say... It actually does not fit much of the YI style at all(I'm using it in my hack anyway)
Palette suggestions are open!
I'll also try to build other unused backgrounds as well
and maybe fix others backgrounds such as the layer3 flowers, the garbage in the 'night sky' BG... and the 'Boggy woods' bottom.

Well, I can't make use of edited BGs in my hack anymore (and actually don't want to)

There's no problem editing bgs, You have to sacrifice one, but not the tilemaps(I used the cave rocks, but I didn't overwrite tilemaps)
Also:

Fix that is simple:
Jump to the offset x158dC0(allgfx.bin)
Fill all the [EE 00] with [6A 1B] and should be fixed.
I definitely need to create some kind of patch for these issues...

Pretty cool, I'm glad there's a way to fix the unused vine BG. I'll use it in a level in the jungle world of my hack.
Does this mean it's possible to edit the garbage Layer 2's in the ROM?

I don't even have the unfixed version of this BG in my mind.
Anyway, have you figured out ALL of the BG2 and BG3 tilemaps in the allgfx, doggy? Or are they simply behind each other.

I found all the BG2 data maps but I haven't found all the bg3 but I guess they're behind each other as you said, I just can't find the matching tilesets 
The actual backgrounds are stored in 16x16, but the editor I use read as 8x8, which is a pain in the butt just edit them
2 bytes:Tile and YXPPCCCT(?).
I fixed the butterfiles(?) palette in the layer3 flowers, I created a 'custom' version of the pond water(bg3: 01), Which can be used along with gradient background colors(but the water itself does not look good... meh)
I also discovered that background 0x17(the glitched one) is a duplicate of background 0x18(forest, eerie cave as golden egg labels) but with the wrong tilemaps, I re-pointed them to the same tilemaps and... it worked!
Not sure about background 0x11, I haven't found any matching tileset, maybe is an early background with missing tileset!

Your levels are well-designed and very creative, but sadly too hard to ever be completed by mere mortals (and as I said before I'm not a fan of forced glitch-using). Another flaw I can see is how easy it is to get stuck and be forced to kill Yoshi. Are you going to use levels that are as hard as that in your hack or will you make easier ones? Also, it felt like the !-Switch Timer was the main boss and not Tap-Tap, since he was no danger at all. Anyway, you have a lot of potentiality.

Well in the description it says I will be making a hack of normal difficulty. These hard levels are made to kill Yoshis easily because only I am playing. That means its only easy for me to get stuck. The only purpose of this level is to get me more familiar with YI hacking, while providing some crazy videos for people to watch. I would never force anyone to do levels this hard! And I only do the glitches to show people them, who may not have noticed they were possible. That could include you or other hackers. Not so much for a cheap laugh, but also to help avoid flaws where things can be broken with these glitches.
I do agree with you on the boss battle though, it's really hard to edit the YI bosses so I have very little to work with. I wanted to try something new though. Thanks for the feedback! Also, things look sorta crazy graphically due to me watching raocow play Kameks revenge. (Mostly the cloud level section was effected by me watching KR)
On a side note, I know of your hack, but I've yet to see it or play it. Maybe your hack could give me some ideas as well! I heard it's really good. I've been waiting for raocow to LP it this coming week or so. Didn't want to spoil it for myself. heh heh.

Starting a hack. Don't know how far along I'm going to actually get with it, but whatever. Here's 1-1, which here plays around a bit with the expanding blocks. Here it's not all that difficult/cruel, but I might see about revisiting the theme in a later level.

Here a video of my YI project. Ignore the boss door at the beginning
SMW2 Yoshi Attack: starring Little Yoshi.
My 2nd world keeps opening up after I finish 1-2. And no, it does not have anything to do with me using the boss finish to complete a stage. I tried it with a normal goal point and it still opens up World 2, so I'm not sure if I'm going to continue this or not until I can figure this bug out.
