When I'm done. Seriously, I will never have an answer for that. I want to make sure this is done right, and I'm not going to have time put any pressure on me. Please, be patient.

YoshiFan501, stop asking that question. You've asked before and he's always said that he doesn't have a deadline. It will be done when it is done. Simple as that. Until then, keep quiet until he has something to show off or you have something meaningful to add to the discussion.
This goes for everyone in general.

Omigosh this is going to be the best hack ever.
I love you sooooo much. Don't think in a homosexual way, though. I love your skill. Look at this! Can you not see how awesome you are? Can you feel the awesomeness!?!?!? Can you feel the breeze!?!?!??!?
Okay, to the point...
This hack is looking good. At first people would just see it as the usual hack. But this hack is based on SMW's roots. The beta version. The idea of collecting all the information and clues on the early version of Super Mario World, just to convert it to a hacked version of the true Super Mario World is just genious. This is probably the hack I'm looking forward to the most. Good luck with it.
BY THE WAY!!!!
I think you should keep the original SMW music. Because if people want to use this hack as a base, the custom music would work perfectly before applying the patch and stay perfectly after applying the patch. So do NOT use SMB3 music or anything. I beg of you, your highness.
Cheers,
WalleoMan

Well, thank you very much!
Do not worry about the music. The idea of adding SMB3 music is only to add on to the music list, not to replace the SMW music. I plan to have both in there, so the main levels will have SMW Music, and the SMB3 lost levels will have some SMB3 music. There is no way I wouldn't stick to SMW's roots I can tell you that much.
Also, I have said that this hack was meant to be a base hack. Since there are quite a few ASM hacks and I am making it very playable, I would venture to say this is more of a material hack where you should probably take from it rather than use it as a base. You can still use it as a base, but you would have more options just taking my materials and starting on a blank ROM.

This hack is gonna be awesome and is going to be well worth the wait! Any idea on how many levels there will be? I'm looking forward to this hack the same way I was looking forward to the SMW I thought I was gonna get when I was 12! I used to draw pictures of those beta screens! Keep up the good work, Yoshi Master!

I have a question. How did you edit luigi's sprite with the seperate graphics patch applied? I have it applied to my rom, but when I go to edit the sprites in yy chr, I cant find Luigi's sprites anywhere. Also as an easter egg for your hack, you could put an unused level from mario world like the ones with the word "test" spelled out.

When you apply the Separate Luigi Patch, Luigi's GFX set should be outside of your Graphics and ExGraphics folder and in the same folder as your hack is. It is Luigi.bin.
I was also thinking of adding a bonus world where I add levels I didn't use and the Test level for those who want to see them, but without making you HAVE to go to them. Levels like the beta version of level 105 and the test level will go in this world.
Edit: Since I've been so quiet and since I'm not showing off at C3 this time around, I'll just show you this to hold you over, even though it's not much:

That looks just like that one beta picture! Good job on that. I also like how those bushes look. And about your bonus world idea, I think it's a great idea, so keep up the good work.

I can't say I'm any more dedicated than some hackers, but thanks!
Also, I have made a new discovery (at least to me anyway.)

In this image, the wooden swinging platform in the final has 5 wooden chain links, and in the beta it had 6. I assume the bottom one in the beta was used as a base like the wooden SMB3 block in my hack. My guess is it was removed for sprite limitations as it already glitches up sometimes due to sprite limits.
I am also pretty proud that the layer 2 background in my screenshot is in the same place the layer 2 background is in the beta screenshot.

Nice discovery. How can you have Layer 2 in Layer 1?

Well, you could replace the wooden block it connects to with a ball. And layer 1 levels are either used with layer 2 levels or backgrounds. He's saying that the background matches up perfectly.
I love your attention to detail!

I now see theat the bottom ball in the screenshot is in an odd position to be a base, so it must've moved. The beta had a swinging platform with 6 moving chain links.

What about the mushroom stems in the picture? They should be a creamy white color and looks like they become green around the ends on either side.
