Tip: If it's possible to carry a tileset-specific sprite (such as a Buzzy Beetle or Bob-omb) through a pipe, make sure it has the correct graphics and sprite palette on the other side!

I have always been indecisive about that. The color is faded and the picture is grainy, but admittedly I have never tried to recreate them. I will definately try before just throwing the idea out.

In the beta picture, the mushroom stem is a lighter color and also it looks like it has no design. Also, keep up the good job Yoshi Master. ;)

That's most likely just the quality of the picture.

It looks perfect now! And yes, there was a pattern and it is a palette swap.
It looks very good, just like the screenshot.

I don't know how much you already know about the beta-version, but maybe this could be helpfull...

Anyway, great work so far, I can't wait till the release of this hack :)

i think: it uses of sure custom sprite (venus): shouldn't you include those sprite and txt file in the zip when you will relase it?

i really want to see how the Beta is made :D

Sorry Dinomar, I don't know what your trying to say exactly...

But it seems I may be getting a blog for my project soon. What this means is a little more insight, more screenshots, and maybe a comment section if I am fortunate enough. I was thinking I would start with some of the history of the project and move up to recent stuff as it finishes.
What he said only understandable:

1. How did you know the level layouts?
2. I wish it was possible to have the actual beta.
3. You should release any custom sprites included
4. I can't wait for this!
I like the new mushroom stems,they have a milky light green color thats easy on the eye. Also, it looks like the sky was just a tad darker in the picture, but thats probably because of how old it is. I cant wait to see more screenshots.

You know, when you finish this, in less than 5 years, the REAL SMW beta will end up in some Warehouse and then be sold to the public, right? ;p

In all seriousness, looks good! It doesn't look like you're getting any of this in for C3 though, which is too bad... I'll be looking forward to this when it comes out!
Not to pester you or anything, but how much of the hack do you have done Yoshi Master? I think you're doin' great with this hack.
You can look at my profile for some progress, but to sum it all up:
Main overworld is done.
1st and 2nd world's levels complete
and Most beta GFX Complete

However, I am always thinking of adding things such as the beta SMB3 levels and finding a way to incorperate the Switch palaces, etc.... That and I am a bit of a perfectionist, even when it comes down to bare details. When my blog comes up, you'll get more of an idea of what I am talking about.

@ UltiMario: The irony in that would kill me, but it would only happen if I made my hack, so it's cool by me! lol I would also love to see how close I got in comparison.
