Wow. Only one stage done in the span of 3 months. This hack better pick up speed over the summer, or at this rate, the hack will take three years! (I presume you've been very busy with exams and such?) But of course levels that take a long time to create are generally also very high quality with good length.

Anyway I'm excited for C3! Keep up the good work.
Nine months actually, I began this project in September of 2015. Even with summer being here, I'm not given much time to use my computer daily (parents), so progress isn't fast. I honestly expect this hack to take three years or longer to make. Like I said on my profile though, hopefully I can complete this hack before the year 2020.

I'm not exaggerating at all. With the amount of time I'm given to work on this hack, its gonna take a very long time to complete.
24 hours waiting is annoying right?

Stage 1 looks very good , good job !😂
Starting stage 2 from scratch because I thought it was a little too difficult. Here's the beginning of the new version:

What do you guys think?
It looks okay but somehow it reminds me of the first stage.
I do not know why, and I wonder how you have the Layer 3 Cloud inserted.

It kinda reminds me of stage 1 too lol. And also I have the layer 3 clouds in there because I like them.
That level wasn't that difficult to me the first time I've seen it, but whatever. As a whole, it looks alright so far if you ask me.

Its harder than it looks. But then again, I guess that depends on your skill level. I didn't really like it a whole lot either so yeah.

Also thanks. #w{=3}
Good stuff! Not too hard; perfect for an introductory level for the hell to come. Not sure if it's really the step up to Medium difficulty from Stage 1's Easy, but I'm sure the stuff to come will put it there.

BTW, the second muncher at the end was not necessary. Gotta keep your hack clean bby.

I should get a real layout.

Ayy fam, glad to see you're finally posting! Thanks for pointing out the muncher thing, I didn't see that before.

As far as the difficulty, I dunno, its easier than the old version of stage 2, that's for sure, but it will definitely end up being harder than stage 1.
Here are some screenshots of what I'm working on currently:

These are the exploding platforms from YI. You may have seen them used in VIP 5.

Introducing reverse gravity in stage 2.
I still remember when I wanted to use this sprite in A&D3 final stage . And neat Screenes
Thanks TAFH.

Here's one other thing:

I'm gonna be using the inertia lifts seen in VIP 5 and Brutal Mario (Athletic Special), I found these in the VIP 5 resource pack. I'll probably be using other sprites from the VIP 5 pack as well, like the zingers.

I only have two of the lifts working right now, I'll try to see what's wrong with the other ones later.
So I updated the port list. Go check it out here. I still need two more ports finished, but most of them are finished or taken. Also notice I actually provided SPC's and MIDI's this time (except for one MIDI because I couldn't find one).

I feel like force hits are a common theme in this level so far.
Add a shell-proof barrier or something just so you can't use the shell to take a hit while powered up as it is at the moment.

Better yet, I'll just use a key instead of a shell. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah, a key is clearly better at this point. I've always been a proponent of trying to avoid breaks in a way that doesn't require spamming custom blocks. It makes everything look cluttered and kaizo-y sorta.

Btw, screenshots and stuff look super good, nice to see sprites being used that aren't from SMWCentral. Any other cool sprites in that VIP5 pack (and also download maybe?? hehe), but not ones you're using.

Thanks! Also, I'll probably use some other sprites from VIP 5 (and maybe VIP 6), but I'll have to look around some more. Gonna try to use some of Carol's sprites too but they're coded pretty bad sooo....
So here's the first demo if you missed it.
