Super Mario RPG Bank Swap (SA1-Chip Bug?)

I think this belongs in the SM:RPG forums but it's also a bit of a general question that comes with bank swapping along with the SA-1 chip.

I'm trying to go back and fix this weird bug on bank swapping in the game. I've expanded the ROM to 6MB and I can access the data outside the normal bounds. But the issue comes in when I bank swap and load the dialogue that I've moved. It all works just fine.. but then for some reason a single sprite or even more will just suddenly.. float off screen, have a bugged palette, have bad graphics or something. It's EXCEPTIONALLY odd and I'm not sure how bank swapping would even cause this issue in the first place since the data is held in the SA-1 chip itself from what I've seen.

It's good to note that this seems to only happen when it's accesses and resetting the banks back to normal.

Any idea what the heck could cause this anomaly?
