Your first hack and your story

My first hack is Super Magic World. It was remove 8 months ago. You can see it here. I also deleted it because it's bad. Bad palette, bad level design, bad cutoff,... There's a guy play it. Video here
Here is my story:
I started this hack 8 months ago. I waste 1 months to make that hack worse. I sent a demo to SMW Central. But it was remove because I sent a ROM file. And I was delete it about 2-3 months ago.
What about you? What's your first hack? What's your story?

First level: 105 except it's a muncher maze
Second level: 106 except you're spinjumping on spinies through a muncher maze and using falling platforms
Third level: You get the gist
The very first hack I've ever made was a pretty horrible attempt to make a joke hack. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of it, but I remember making it have awful palettes, really short levels, and glitched graphics. Also, I'm fully aware that "shound" is not a real word; it was probably just a typo. But since I made that steaming turd when I was 10, I probably didn't know how to spell. Now looking back at it, "shound" seems like a word that William Shakespeare would have used in one of his works.

My first hack... that was probably way back in 2008 and I don't even remember how it would have looked like...

The only early hacks that I could remember would be "Deathman Luigi" and "Kong Lee" and my user "chinesesmw" is actually based off of the "Kong Lee" hack.

The earliest hack that I could remember would be "Deathman Luigi". I was heavily inspired by Kaizo Mario and I decided to create a difficult "Japanese" hack (it was complete gibberish because I didn't know Japanese during that time). Not much to say about "Deathman Luigi" except that was the first SMW hack that I've recorded on YouTube on my very old and abandoned channel "supermarioworldfan3".

Now, "Kong Lee" was the first hack that I was extremely dedicated to. I was interested in the Chinese language when I was younger as well, so I used to throw random characters together on the level names and dialogues and had pretended that those characters translated to "Grassland" or "You have defeated Lemmy Koopa" when in reality it was just gibberish.

My first hack was a thing that suffered of the "wow, that's cool, I really must use it" syndrome. It was made in 2008 and then I lost it due to computer problems. I used to find resources hosted here that I thought looked cool, download and insert right away, without planning anything. The story was also nonsense, and there was no level design cohesion or GFX cohesion. Level design was a bit forgivable, but bad anyways, and the overworld map was blatantly edited. Some levels were retrieved from an old friend's computer, and compiled in this hack which I'm totally not proud of.

Very first hack I made (in 2009) was a loose remake of the first several levels in SMB3. The hack has long been deleted, so sorry, no screenshots. #tb{:(}

Now, the oldest evidence of my early hacks is this video from 2013. Watching it again, I really wish I had stuck with it and made a full vanilla hack several years ago. You know, with a full hack under my belt, making something more advanced would have been easier.

First hack was in 2001 and was almost 100% complete. I didn't figure out how to change tilesets until getting to Vanilla Dome so the first couple worlds had the same ones albeit different palettes.

I got all the way up to Bowser's Castle but somehow fucked up my ROM, and I didn't have a backup.
