It would be great if one of my ideas gets real!
I believe that nobody done a hack with levels similar to Rayman Junior, the best educational game based on a famous character. Before judging it, try to watch it on Youtube.

I though a story about a possible hack, but I don't wanna do it: anyone can take this story and make part of his/her hack.
Attention: the entire story is listened here!
The story is about Mario waking up in his room just like the other days of his life. Immediately he left his house for a walk... only to find out that Princess Peach is kidnapped! ... well, he just wished that. Instead, he noticed that the entire world is starting to disintegrate! Mario goes to Peach's Castle and talks about it with the princess: he find out that Bowser actually is up to something. With no time to waste, Mario starts his new adventure wondering what are Bowser's plans this time! And he needs to be quick, because the world is disappearing faster than he thinks. Besides, Mario finds something very odd about his world: strange creatures and places are seen everywhere! How it's possible for an explorer like Mario to see all those weird things? There must be an answer...
In his adventure, he meets new enemies but also new friends. Mario is really happy for helping them out and to receive their gifts. But one thing he doesn't understand: why everybody doesn't want to be saved from the distruction of the world? Mario isn't a person that thinks too much: he knows that Bowser holds the key of the story and so he proceed without any fears!
After a long journey, Mario finally reaches Bowser! The evil king explains the reason why Mario's World is in this state: the answer is... that Mario isn't in his world! Actually he is in a Virtual Chamber of Bowser's Castle where everything that Mario sees can interact entirely with him. A perfect work from his royal Magikoopas and Koopa Troopa engineers! So, even if this world is virtual... Mario can die for real! The plumber doesn't know how this all happened... and Bowser explains that he got tricked at the last moment after beating the evil king again! The situation isn't going good for Mario: not only the world is disappearing killing him instantly, but now Bowser can do everything he wants to stop him! Or so he thoughs? Mario can still win this battle: if this world is just an illusion then the only way to survive is to fight and be strong with the mind. With this strategy, Mario beats the final boss and suddendly he wakes up in the Virtual Chamber. He won the battle and he's free again! But he's somewhat sad because all the friends that he made in his adventure are only an illusion... luckily the plumber is optimistic and he hopes to see all them again some other time! After rescuing the princess, the plumber walks toward his house.

so yeah, after a loooong break i'm back to hacking. and while someone is working on the overworld for my old hack i'm thinking about making some sort of a
Super Mario World 'Reloaded
. You know, the original SMW but complete redesigned levels. No bullsh!t like edit the original levels and putting in 2000 bullet bills, more a ctrl+delete and edit the palette and insert some new songs (yeah, from other games. but i think that's not that bad at all, i'm making it not to sell it but rather to give you all a new fun hack to play.) and edit some features of the enemies.
what do you think about that idea? would it be fun to play the good old smw, but with a new design? not the hacking style of an individual, more the hacking style of smw.
it would be not the same count of levels, i'll make 3-4 worlds and a final world.
enough from me, what do you think about that idea? would you play it?

Here's one of TC's most ridiculous ideas in the world! (whether it's a good idea or a bad one is entirely up to you)
What if Super Mario World was to crossover with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?
I call it: "Equestria: Super Mario Land Adventure" (it's just a working title)
The reason I called it Super Mario Land Adventure is because well, it doesn't take place in the mushroom kingdom just like the Mario Land Games. And I'm not calling it Super Mario Land 4 because It's not an official sequel, and making unofficial sequels to official games is just a cheap excuse at making a game. The name is only a take on the SML games.
Anyways...
Princess Peach has been invited to a social gathering located in Canterlot within the land of Equestria by Princess Celestia. Many from around the world will be there, including Princess Daisy, Queen Bean, and even King Fret along with his son Prince Pine just to name a few. She brings along Mario and Toadsworth to accompany her. When they arrive, Mario decided to wander around town while Peach and Toadsworth were at the castle. Suddenly, a dark mist has gathered around the castle turning it and everyone inside to stone! At the same time, the Elements of Harmony have been stolen. It's up to Mario, with the help of his new friends (some of you may take a guess at who they are ) to save Equestria!
Now, how this idea would work is this: In my head for something like this, The Mushroom Kingdom and Equestria are in the same world, except much like the Unova region in the Pokemon series, they are VERY far apart.
Well? What do you think? =D

Hey, don't give me that look! >8( It's not easy coming up with a storyline (or at least a cut-to-the-chase one)! I'm pretty sure you all had a hard time coming up with one at one point as well.

So, I had an idea of choosing a character at the beginning of the game, and you play as him/her/it for the rest of the game. I guess it could be used in a Pokemon hack if you were to choose a starter to play as.
I'm not sure how it would work, maybe you start at a submap where there are x number of paths, each leading to a different (but looks, levels, etc. are the same for each) map. Then on each of those maps you'd have different character ExGFX through all the levels.
Would that even work?

I'm not sure how feasible this is, but how about a level based on Lightning Lookout from DKC3, done with either Sumo Bro lightning, spiked pillars, or a layer 3 smash? Instead of striking where you just were, it attempts to strike where you're going to be, just like the lightning in the DKC3 level. If you just run straight through w/o stopping, you WILL get hit, so you have to double back every so often to fool the AI.

I have an idea for a level, which I think would be awesome.
A factory level, with the song "Breakfast Machine" from Pee Wee's Big Adventure playing.
I would suggest that the level be styled a la The Blue Ball Machine, with crazy synchronized factory stuff happening everywhere involving platforms, enemies, and probably lots of custom graphics and events.
I don't hack so I do not know the limits and boundaries for a level hack such as this, but I believe that, if executed correctly, this kind of level would be epic.

It would be cool to make an level based out of an program. Or then to make an level that is based out of one of the Mickey Mouse game's underwater levels, with the same gimmick as that level.

Okay. So, here is my idea:
Basically, when Mario defeats a level. A flag is set off by SMW automatically that the level was defeated.
I am curious to find out, if there are some ASM tricks (most likely LevelASM insertion) to check for the flag at the beginning of level load and if the flag is set, remove any type of interaction with anything (like throw blocks and question blocks) and remove all sprites.
I figured this would be a neat gimmick to add to the realism of SMW.
(Possibly some filters for sprites that are required)
What do you think?

It was a great surprise to me that disassembling DKC3 would be the only way to achieve the lighting effect for Sokobansolver's idea.

Another hacking idea I just thought of, though this one would be nowhere near SMWCentral's standards due to the extreme difficulty and glitch abuse. Actually two ideas. Since there's Glitch Abuse, Item Abuse, and Walljump Abuse, what about Yoshi Abuse and Cape Abuse? Yoshi Abuse would be a pit hack requiring creative uses of almost every known Yoshi glitch and Cape Abuse would focus on creative uses of flying with the cape and some frame perfect glitches as well (even though I made a level called Yoshi Abuse, any pit hacker who is up to the task is allowed to make a glitch hack called Yoshi Abuse if they want).
Why don't I make those hacks myself? Because I don't have the patience.

Is Jewelry similar to Bejeweled? If it is, I cannot think of how that would work in a SMW game. I would have to see it once it's made.

But this really gave me an idea. Why not make a hack based on SMWCentral itself? That'd be awesome! You could have the users (their avatars or just floating names) act as bosses, levels, enemies, and so forth. The levels would look like, resemble, or reference various parts of SMWC or SMWiki, maybe. What happens when Mario jumps in the wrong thread, like one warped by ASM?
And when Mario "logs out", say, that could be used like an on/off switch. Mario could jump around and have fun in the Sprites or Music forums, and try not to die. He could run face-first into that one invisible wall that I know is around here somewhere, and get stomped on by S.N.N. some of the mare tyrant-y users.
Tell me what you think, and present some of your own ideas!
