Windows 8.1 Update Issues

So I am trying to install Windows update KB2919355 on my PC, so I can install VC Redist 2015. The problem is that I am getting a really strange error.
First off, here is the CBS log.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B77sz8e8XZfHdGhTb0NJRDRMYUk

So I am getting error 0x80070002 on most of the packages and install.ses. It's most likely that it isn't getting extracted properly.
When I go to view the installed updates, it says that KB2919355 is successfully installed, although I am 100% percent certain that it isn't. After installing the 690.8MB KB2919355 package and restarting, the update doesn't complete, giving me this message "We couldn't complete the updates, undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer". In fact, the we are installing the updates part reaches 7% then restarts twice and then shows the message. Afterwards the update does nothing.
I don't know why this isn't extracted properly. I've been searching for a solution for the past week, and I have found no luck.
I have tried doing both automatic and manual installation.
I have also tried numerous command prompt commands such as
SFC /scannow
and DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
I would really appreciate if anyone would find the solution to this issue.
I am also making a VLDC level, so this 1 and a half year log in isn't just to ask this question :P
Thanks in advance!
if you can find the files it uses for the update, try deleting those. it should download them again and maybe extract correctly this time
That does not help. I've also tried installing directly from the .cab file and disabling the antivirus. Thanks for the reply.
well, crap. my solution was really just a guess so I'm not sure how else to fix this. I'd tell you to google it but chances are you have already
you could try getting Windows 8.1 refresh media, which has KB2919355 & KB3000850 (update 1 & update 3) already integrated and just re-install Windows 8.1 using the Win8.1 ISO media downloaded from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8

it's quite long to download the ISO image and you have to use something like CDBurnerXP or ImgBurn to create a DVD disc or using Rufus to create bootable Windows 8.1 media - in the end it's worth it.
