Darn....Well, I've wanted to make a hack called Super Luigi Land since 2013, and I'm finally doing it. Well, Pixel-Gon wanted to make a Mario is Missing, and B.B.Link made one a LOOOOONG time ago.
Just add some personality to the name: Gamma Luigi Land, actually since you have a "Greek God" thing going with your username, why not "Alpha Luigi Land"? Stray from the generic stuff and add some of that spice I call originality.

Sounds tacky, but if you decide to make a follow up Luigi hack, Beta Luigi Land, then Charlie, Delta, Echo... so on so forth. Or heck, skip Beta and go straight to Charlie.
Or if you want to keep "Super" in the name, try to replace "Land" instead... like Super Luigi Country or Super Luigi: The Great Mission.

Are you an ASM coder and want 20$ on your Steam, PS4, or Xbox One accounts? Private Message me for details.
(I also offer SMW Custom Songs in exchange for ASM! I don't do ports though unless it's remixing.)

...or you could just use the name Super Luigi Land: Bowser's Invasion...
It ain’t about the holidays, bruh. C’mon.
A lot of battle royale games coming out smh
Bowser's Invasion would be a good subtitle. Anyway, I finished up the Walnut Castle

Some of these wooden platforms will rise and fall, potentially dipping you into the Purple Water of Death.

They could also smash you into the ceiling. Better go for the A-Coin!

Sometimes, it's the Purple Water rises and falls.

Dry Bones will occasionally burst from Turn Blocks.

No, you don't spawn by that P-Switch. You have to make your way up there, avoiding Bowser's hammers and fireballs.

...or poison.

Anywai~, nice level!

Yeah, it's poison, but Purple Water of Death sounds cooler. XD

Anyway, I've made some edits to the World 4 map.

Sorry if this GIF is too lossy. I don't know if there's a way to convert directly from snes9x .smv files to GIF. I wanted to use a GIF to show that the crystals have palette animation.
DOUBLE POST!

Just got another couple levels done.

COLA CAVERN 1

Hope you've been practicing your Wall-Jumping skills. You'll need them to get up here. Don't worry if you haven't though. This path is optional.

SMASH!

The second half of the level includes Ceiling Buzzies.

COLA RUINS

This place looks familiar...

Yep, it's another contest entry level integration.

ALL HAIL MEGAMOLE!!
Yeah, I know this level is already in VLDC9, but I've been wanting to use it in this hack since I started because its difficulty is more in tune with my own work than typical VLDC entries. I'm glad I still had the files in my old Dropbox since the VLDC9 collab hack is locked.

DEJA VU!
I've just been in this place before!

Seriously, though. I've managed to play VLDC9 simultaneously, but I still have 50 or more entries to complete. Awesome level so far, Gamma! Keep up!
It ain’t about the holidays, bruh. C’mon.
A lot of battle royale games coming out smh
Thanks again, Kamekku.

COLA SECRET 2

Wigglers and bouncy mushrooms? Why not?

Another Kill Room

If you thought stomping on a Wiggler was a bad idea, wait until you stomp on one that can FLY!

COLA CAVERN 2

Not those irritating HEDGEHOGS again!
The inspiration for this level came from the Cave of Waterfalls in Seiken Densetsu 3. At least, the enemy and music choices did. Harry Hedgehogs sort of represent Molebears, which I always thought were Square's way of doing a Take That to SEGA, much like the Harries in Yoshi's Island.

More common than Molebears in Cave of Waterfalls are the Slimes, which these green Lemon (Lime) Drops represent.

Drip! Drip!

Near the end of the level, the Lime Drops almost completely overtake the enemy roster. Originally, I was going to use the Drops in their Generator Mode, but that crashed the game.

On Saturday morning, our modem/router died. My stepdad tried to buy a replacement from the local Best Buy 3 times, but none of the modems worked with our ISP and ended up being returned. He had to call a technician from the ISP to come over with a modem that would work, but that took until this morning. The lack of internet access didn't prevent me from hacking though. I just ended up doing Overworld work.

COCOA CLIFFS

Here's the map for World 6.

Here it is again with all paths revealed.

SUGAR SNOWFIELD

Obligatory ice world

All paths revealed

KOOPA KRATER

Plenty of lava here

Again, all paths revealed

This hack uses nearly all of the available levels in SMW. Only 13A and 13B are left unused.

I have a suggestion for you to use them, too - One of them can be used as TOP SECRET AREA (the original SMW had only one level like this), and the other one can be used as BACK DOOR in the final world.

I have to leave at least one unused to dump all the unused OW sequences onto.

Anyway, I just finished up Cola Cavern 3.

COLA CAVERN 3

Things get wetter as we approach that pool of water on the map.

Buster Beetle!

In this room, you can't count on the Buster Beetles to just be on land.

They can be in the water too.

VIDEO
I forgot to put the entry pipe in on the end sublevel. That was fixed after I made the video.
The soft colours are really nice to look at.
Reminds me of the classic Sonic water levels like Tidal Tempest.

Good work as always. :O
I haven't followed this thread to closely, want to play it blindly..
How far along are you on this % wise?

NoALT

Captain Toad is returning to your SNES.
My first completed SMB 1 hack is finished.
Uncle Mario Bros.
I'd say this is about 33% done in terms of levels. Overworlds are 100% done though.
These overworlds look pretty decent. Good job with them!

I also adore the idea of using Buster Beetles underwater in COLA CAVERN 3. Its unusual and surprising, but still works well in this level.

--------------------

Thanks, Sariel.

COLA CAVERN 4

The last level may have had water in it, but this level is completely underwater.

Jumpin' Piranha Plants underwater? Wouldn't be the first time I've done it.

The Urchins are the main enemies of this level though.

Stay out of my way! I want that coin!
Im not sure if a completely black BG (i mean the cave pillars, not the BG colour per se) is the best you can do. Its ok, if it is mainly black, but i think there should be at least some dark grey outlines that make the BG a tad more dynamic and less flat/boring. Its kinda hard to explain what i mean, but i hope you still understand. If not, feel free to ask again.

Apart from that, theres not much i could really citisise. Good job.
