Dropbox.
I LOVE THIS PROGRAM.
I love it so much here's a huge summary of why you should download it because I want to convince you all.
Kind of like a free website hoster except technically minus the websites except not really. Useful if you have two computers like I do and you sometimes shift between the two and find it tedious to have to copy, say, your SMW hack from one computer to another using a USB or whatever you have. Any files or folders you drag into your Dropbox folder automatically synchronises into any other computer.
Requires a constant internet connection, since it basically goes:
Drag + Drop file into whatever folder via Dropbox --> Copies the file --> Uploads it to Dropbox.com into your personal account --> Downloads the same thing into any other computer that you have Dropbox isntalled onto and have an account linked with.
Oh yeah, did I mention it creates online backups of the file? That way, whatever you drop into your Dropbox folder gets a download link from the website, hence the whole website hoster except not really thing.
Because of this, it's perfectly possible to access files from other computers that do not have Dropbox installed onto it.
OH! Did I also mention that upload speed is drastically reduced for large files because Dropbox scans the files for only the changes and uploads those instead? So, say you have a 20MB file and only edit 2MB of it. Instead of reuploading all 20MB it just uploads 2MB. Great bandwidth saver for Aussie users and anyone else who just wants fast uploads.
It even displays text files in your browser ~ <3

It certainly has been a while since anyone posted here...
Growl (Macintosh Application)
It's basically a notification application for Mac. Whenever a certain action occurs (example: someone messages you or a file updates) a customizable notification pops up on the desktop. Very useful for applications such as Skype or Dropbox.
Edit:
XChat Aqua (Macintosh Application)
A fully featured irc client similar to x (or y) chat that makes full usage of Mac's cocoa interface.

Might as well take this time to add that Limewire has been removed and in it's place has spawned Frostwire.
So yeah might as well update the list.

The Notepad++ link leads to UltraEdit's page, for some reason. Notepad++ can be found here: Link.

Fixed. Also fixed an HTML error.
Also this annoys me.
This is supposed to be for useful software. Eight year old browsers that look like this on modern websites aren't useful.
Would anyone mind if I removed it?

No, considering the fact that it's fairly outdated and no longer lives up to current web standards. Considering the fact that it is no longer supported should also be another good indication of why it shouldn't necessarily listed. But then again that's just my opinion on it being there.
And while I'm here, and hopefully I'm not to bold in saying this, but is it really necessary to link to various OS X applications that come default with a Mac? Programs such as Safari, Mail, Quicktime, or iTunes already come built in with the OS. Or at least I hope they do. I just find it a little redundant that's all.

If you feel like updating I'd recommend adding Pidgin again under IRC and IM for Linux, and adding LibreOffice (http://www.libreoffice.org/) under Office for Linux.

Both of those work on all OSes so it'll be dumb to just add it to Linux and redundant to add it to every section. There should be a universal section of this thing. :\

Hate to be a bother, but Notepad++'s link still points to UltraEdit.

Fixed for real. A few misplaced "s made it look correct in the source code, but they messed up the HTML filter.
Also got rid of IEmac.

Got some good Mac OS X software to drop in here... Also, maybe it's me, but I think architectures for OS X software should be mentioned - not every piece of software will run on every Mac. (Unless I just stupidly missed the mention of them, somehow...)
TenFourFox (PowerPC): Essentially, Firefox 4 for PowerPC G3-G5 machines. It will run on Tiger like the name suggests, but it also runs well on Leopard. I'm probably the only one here anymore who even uses PPC OS X, but hell, why not post it in case I'm not?
MacTubes (Universal): A YouTube browser for Tiger and up that runs on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. For PPC users, this is often a much smoother alternative to Flash when running videos in Quicktime... but it also helps on Intel (because we all know Flash on anything but Windows is a disaster). It's also an excellent tool to download videos as well! This will also run on Tiger as early as 10.4.2, meaning even G3 users are likely in luck again.
