Description: The Credits theme from Columns III, AFAIK only heard if you beat the game on Hard Mode, but what do I know, I ain't a expert on this game, I only know it has some damn good music lol

You'll probably remember this from Sonic Megamix's Misty Maze Zone tho, a pretty competent Sonic hack that pretty much made my (and many others's) childhood, and it's the main reason why I did this lmao. This could be either used like in the original game, as a credits theme, or this could also be used like in Sonic Megamix, as a water level theme. You have to decide on this one LOL

This one, with the power of FM Sampling, also uses most of the original samples from Columns III, but it also uses noise at some parts and it isn't totally accurate (mostly due to the MIDI I used), but it's still accurate enough I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It sounds a lot better than I expected, but just like a comment said, the songs gets off tune on the second half. I'm not sure why you used a different tuning for "ColumnsIIIFMBrass.brr" than you did for "ColumnsIIISparklyFMLead.brr", because both samples have the same natural pitch. Just change Brass.brr's tuning from $05 $A5 to $05 $BF.

While I'm at it, these aren't specifically removal reasons but it would be appreciated if you fixed them anyway:
  • In many instances you have quick notes in the melody, such as in a32a+16.a8a+8 and b8a+32.b32.a+32g+8e4d+4c+2, to name a few examples. Consider using legato ($F4 $01) on them so that they sound fluid, because the way you ripped many of the samples made them have a "hardcoded" soft ADSR attack which goes bad with quick notes.
  • Pretty much every melody sample in the original had a rather quick release effect, yet all of your samples sustain forever, which makes it sound rather off (especially in a sample like the bell-like sample SparklyFMLead.brr). Try using a release of $0F to $12.
  • The song sounds considerably less fluid than the original. There's not much you can do here to make it sound exactly like the original, but you can definitely help it by adding $F4 $02 just below the echo commands; this makes the default SMW staccato less prominent and makes for more legato-like notes.
  • The original had a longer delay for the melody fake echo channel. You have a delay of r8, while the original uses a delay of r4. On top of that, the echo is loud and clear in the original, while in your song it's much more subtle. I'm not saying your version sounds bad, but it doesn't give the same feeling the original had with its method.
  • I'm not sure what "ColumnsIIIBrassyFMBackgroundInstrument.brr" is supposed to be rofl, but in the original the BG sample used is definitely a square wave. Consider changing it to that, since that's hella easier to tune as well.

Good luck with this!
