Originally posted by K3fkaAt the risk of getting in trouble I just want to say that Pat, you gave zero indication of actually being upset by leod's post. I don't want to victim blame here, but when you reply with a meme in the same joking tone as what leod used, it really makes it seem like you're ok with it even though apparently you weren't.
There was nothing to indicate as I was not moved or offended by the post. Regarding leod's original post, I only pointed out why it caused this much drama, and why it was inappropriate and intentional, regardless of it not offending me. It was only when the drama stirred up and led to the warning threats when I had to step forward and point out what I did. Generally everyone speaking for me, the warnings; they wouldn't believe anyone else that wasn't the "victim," really.
Someone also asked me about this in DMs on Discord, to which I replied:
Originally posted by meI generally keep my composure with humor so I don't go into some sort of emotionally charged argument
I also said in my most recent post on this thread:
Originally posted by mewhen someone has insulted me, I respond with a joke or a meme since a few years on the internet makes you desensitized from insults.
Basically, there was nothing I was upset about; if there was, the first quote would have applied more accurately. In this case, the second quote applies more since I've heard "get fucked" among worse on my many years on the internet. But whether I thought nothing of it or seemingly did, others did see a problem in it and reacted the way they did, but they never considered what I thought of the post. For example, I'm not entirely sure how serious
Hobz's post was, but what is guaranteed here is that he never makes mention of what I think or my opinions; he made his own conclusion based on the post. There was also
Zekrom's post which only mentioned my meme response rather than how I was affected. Really nobody considered my emotions, if you look back.
Thank you for pointing this out, though; I wouldn't have the chance to clarify this without it seeming irrelevant or random otherwise.
