I don't have anything meaningful to release but I felt like making this thread (which probably isn't even worth making) as I've felt a little bit motivated to hack recently and so show some screenshots of how the progress of making an old hack of mine from scratch is going, after porting my ROM to another so many times I've already lost count of.
I made in 2013 showcased the hack I meant, which attempted on an unusual plot and making good use of the RPG-styled counter patch and all... it's changed quite a lot. I've completely changed the graphics style it previously went for, decided to not make use of RPG aspects for the gameplay, the plot was improved to make some more sense and what's the biggest change in the hack is that I chose to make a non-linear overworld, so that the player could initially play the hack in whatever order they'd like.
Overworld, animated (subject to major changes though).
Old level to be remade, but designed for this hack when I thought of bringing it back before.
(The hack will have an English version as well, also ignore the ugly windows of the house inside, they're still being worked on! There are also font inconsistencies because I haven't finished porting stuff to a new ROM yet.)
As you can see I've also decided to implement a few SMB3 elements in the new version, such as powerups from the game (thanks to LX5's powerups patch), animated overworld tiles, the P-Meter and more things are to come if I'm motivated to still work on the project, which I hope to be!
