This is a list of music, blocks, sprites, patches, UberASM code, and other resources on the site as well as combinations of resources that are incompatible with the SNES Classic's native default emulator. To play a Super Mario World hack that uses ANY of the following resources or combinations of resources, you'll have to use RetroArch.

*But, for some reason, yoshifanatic is using a modified version of this patch in his hack, Mario and Yoshi's Strange Quests, and that hack works fine on the SNES Classic's native default emulator.

So im hearing many people reporting that the death counter by thomas
(not sure if its on the patches section) is incompatible with snes classic.

is it that patch alone or its related to the SRAM plus patch (which looks way more "intrusive" than the death counter)?
I'd done some experimentation with that with someone who had the classic, and as far as we could tell, it's due to the SRAM Plus patch, since I tried making the death counter as "safe" as possible and it still didn't work.

If I had to wager a guess, the Classic just doesn't handle DMAs into SRAM properly. I didn't mess around with that patch though.
