Something like the Melee adventure mode would honestly be really amazing. Subspace Emissary was great too, but was like a do it once and now you got your fill kinda thing, while the variety in the Melee one made it easy to just keep playing it.
I was told to not be hyped about this game but I'm glad I more or less ignored that.
What a pleasant surprise this was. As someone who grew up with Melee I was so stoked to see all of the Melee characters making a return. I had no plans at all to get a Switch but this might just change in the future.
This is just amazing, I'm looking forward to not only the returning characters, but I'm super excited to see how moveset changes will shake up the game. I couldn't ask for anymore than this, it's perfect.
jk I still want Jack Frost, Geno, and Banjo-Kazooie

Fantastic, this is what I wanted. I wouldn't have liked it if they developed an entirely from scratch game that quickly, making the 3DS and Wii U version entirely obsolete. While this may still be true competitively, at least you're only missing out on half the experience. Obviously a must-buy for me but I don't quite feel as pressured to get a Switch before the release of the game.
Dr. Mario has a spike, Wario finally has the shoulderdash, and Ice Climbers and Snake are back. The only thing that could make me love this somehow more than I currently do would be playable Waluigi, which he is already confirmed to be a assist trophy, so it's not like this game is the absolute best it could've been.
This is absolutely amazing to see. Every Smash Bros character is in, even Snake. Same goes for Cloud, Ryu, and well, all the third-party characters; it wouldn't be the same without them, and I'm really glad they made it happen.
And judging by how they put it, unlocking characters will be more fun, and hopefully more rewarding again.
Inkling and Ridley look really fun to play as, too. Daisy was also certainly a surprise and, not gonna lie, it made me want Pauline to get in too. Just to complete the Mario love interest circle, I guess.
I would definetly love it if you'd start with just the original 8 characters from SSB64 and unlock the rest as you go. Makes the game more durable for those that aren't super competitive and out on getting all trophies.
I agree. I wouldn't really call myself a fan of Smash by any means. I'm just not good enough for multiplayer, yet singleplayer often offres too little for me. Having more stuff to unlock would definitely be a plus here. Assuming the game doesn't require you to play multiplayer to unlock stuff.
