Been listening to a lot of albums lately because I've been trying to find new music and I've stumbled upon a lot of good stuff.

I pass the question off to you: What are some good albums (or EPs) you've listened to recently?

憂鬱 - 憂鬱 (Synthwave)
Been getting into synthwave lately and this album is some good stuff. Its got that nice old nostalgic sound that everyone loves and it just sounds amazing.

Metallica - Metallica (Heavy Metal)
Can't go wrong with songs like "Enter Sandman." Metallica is always a welcome listen for me.

Sade - Promise (R&B / Smooth Jazz)
Found this album through this video and figured the song it was worth a listen since Vektroid sampled the song "Tar Baby" on the classic Vaporwave album Floral Shoppe.
I re-listened to and have come to appreciate DAMN. more since my first few listens. Not Kendrick's best maybe, but still pretty rich musically.
The new Jack White album, Boarding House Reach, is pretty great.
Shoutouts to Currents by Tame Impala for being a good boy too.

The Mountain Goats - Zopilote Machine

its still so impressive how john darnielle is able to write such distinct songs with the same handful of chords.

This is pretty cool. I like how, for lack of a better term, "first take" this album sounds. Some of it reminds me of the earlier Velvet Underground material with the lo-fi production style and the way they harmonize vocals. And to add to what you said about using so few chords and progressions through out the record - over time I've come to realize that great musicians do a lot with little. I can definitely see myself coming back to this! Thanks for throwing this pile of good tunes on to my lap.

Here is an album I've been listening to since it came out this past March. Virtue by The Voidz.

This album is all over the place stylistically. Key tracks for me would be Leave It In My Dreams, QYURRYUS, AlieNNation, Lazy Boy, Pointlessness.
Death Grips - Year of the Snitch

Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

This Town Needs Guns - This Town Needs Guns (Self-titled album)

USAISAMONSTER - Space Programs

Three of those last albums may be old, but they're golden - I recommend you give all of them a listen if you haven't already.
