Well, first off, welcome to SMW Central! ...Now that that's out of the way, let's get into these levels.
"A FAMILIAR PLACE"
You shouldn't have official Nintendo levels in your hack, the point of a hack is to showcase your own level designs and ideas. Adding 1-1 from SMB1 is doing nothing for your hack, since everyone here has played it before and you're just lazily throwing in classic levels just for reference's sake.
"PLATFORMS"
Not much to say about the screens you showed, but the mushroom platform's stems probably shouldn't be green. The detailed backgrounds clash with SMW's simple cartoony style, as well.
"HOVERING AROUND"
Assuming this level's gimmick is centered around hovering around obstacles with FLUDD, the level design doesn't look...too bad. But spamming Volcano Loti in a tight space along with Munchers and Chucks is a big no-no, and this doesn't seem to be a kaizo hack. That's only going to bring a world of slowdown and artificial difficulty, which I doubt is what you want.
Overworld
This actually doesn't look too terrible for your first hack, (I've seen much worse) but this still has much room for improvement. It just looks really sloppy, some tiles don't make sense, (such as the cliff tiles in the water, which I assume is part of a beach) and just perspective errors in general.
Also, since this an entirely custom hack, I'd suggest making custom palettes for your levels and overworld. This original SMW palettes are pretty boring to look at.
A FAMILIAR PLACE - I saw YT videos of people remaking various levels from different Mario games. So I thought it was good to remake them. This isn't the only remake though, as I am remaking Cut Man's level from Mega Man 1.
PLATFORMS! - It gave me those palettes when I applied them so I will fix it. Also I really like the DKC Backgrounds so they are going to be used a bunch of times.
HOVERING AROUND - It is based of the FLUDD sprite. I don't plan for a lot of areas being Kazio-ish but I plan on there being quite a few of them.
Anyways, I have just started work on a level. It has no name yet but I will come up with one in the mean time.
