So, this is my dream for many years. Hacking The Beatles into Super Mario Bros. 2. I thought I'd give it a go.

This is how far i've got. The character select screen is ok... but gosh. Those graphics. Such a hard game to hack!

What are my chances of changing all the music into beatles tunes?

I guess I have to hex edit (a lot). Will this rom map help?

I've never done music hacking before. But I always wanted to learn. All I know is that it's very time consuming and almost impossible.

Would I be better off hacking Super Mario All Stars? I heard music hacking is easier on the SNES.
Kinda neat. Are you hacking levels? Only level editor available to the public works for the nes. If you can find a user named Dr. Floppy on the net out there and he finds your project interesting he might be able to help you with your music. It's long shot, I haven't talked to him for a while don't know how busy he is
If you're going to do level hacking in SMB2, I highly recommend using SMB2Edit made by dtothefourth. It's the most recent and feature rich utility for hacking SMB2; you can even edit the character physics and create custom sprites.

He has confirmed that he intends to create a music editor for SMB2 as well, so keep an eye out for that.

I'm not sure I'm going to do levels. Hopefully.

A music editor would be so awesome! Is it weeks, months or years away tho?

Anyways, I updated the Title Screen and Characters.
Now the selection screen is more faithful to the cover of Sgt. Pepper's.

He's constantly working on different romhacking projects, but I know he's really busy as of late, so who knows. It's marked as a confirmed project on his website.
@ deakula
Thanks for pointing that site out. That editor is better than any available!
