New Hack by me in development!

Standard

I'm working on a new hack that is in early development. It's name will be changed but it is called "Mario Bros Remastered."

I will try to keep updates on the hack!
Looks nice but it more informations could be better.
Also, why are the pictures larger than usual?
Over world Update! A lot more levels have been made.
I like the style. The first screen has a simple map, but I suppose you want to build levels, rather than faff about with maps at this stage.

I see grass and snow on the maps, this seems to reflect in continuity with your grassy and snowy levels. It's a bit hard to grasp how some parts of the map work, like with the castle in front of a perpendicular surface, or where you're standing on top of the DEEP KOOPA CAVE which appears to have a path for Mario to also be able to walk behind it.

I can't really tell what the levels are like to play with only a couple screenshots, but I can already see that plenty of effort has gone into this.

May I ask, how do you do your screenshots? Usually we just take snaps at the SNES native resolution and embed them that way (GIF is the best format).

I screenshot using the standard windows screenshotter. It works fine. Also, thanks for the feedback!
Nice to see a new aspiring hacker here! Most beginners really don't have an idea about how to design levels, let alone use custom resources like ExGFX. If you really design levels good enough so the hack can be accepted, it'll be more so appreciated! Alright! I'm gonna give away some criticism here.

I assume you want to use all chocolate graphics in the overworld as well instead of vanilla graphics as I can see on the last screenshot. I only have two complaints about the maps. The first one has that lonely snowy tile (probably placed mistakenly) within the grass. The last one is mostly flat and it'd really benefit from more varied terrain.

Aesthetically both levels seem okay. And here's another one who decided to use my grassland graphics in their level! I had to update them since a while ago From only two screenshots and no videos of your levels, I can't tell how they'd play.

If you want to take smaller screenshots that aren't blurry, use the function of saving screenshots in your emulator.
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

Would you like to share a video or patch for us to review? OBS is free.

Thanks for the criticism! I'm trying to make my hack as amazing as possible. I will release a demo or video this weekend of 2/2-2/3 or maybe today. Please keep writing!
New screenshots guys!

Holy Shit Guys. I'm sorry. I just forgot for awhile. I have made TONS of progress however! It is almost complete. Should I release a demo or video? Once again, apologies.
