Ban Appeals

I've been banned from SMW Central. Can I appeal?
The SMW Central staff takes account deactivation very seriously. If your account has been disabled, you have either severely violated the site rules or demonstrated a consistent refusal/inability to correct your behaviour following normal disciplinary measures. If you believe that you have since changed your behaviour and wish to have your account reinstated, you may send an appeal by sending a DM to an Admin on Discord. Alternatively, you may E-mail your appeal to a Userbase Administrator instead.
What should I put in my ban appeal?
When preparing your appeal, it is highly recommended that you:
  • Describe in your own words why you were banned, what you will do and have done to improve your behaviour.
  • Present any examples you might have of your behaviour elsewhere to verify your improvement, and any other information in favour of your unbanning.
I sent my appeal. What now?
The staff will review your appeal and discuss it. We reserve the right to reject any appeal for any reason, even if presented sincerely.
If my appeal is accepted, does that mean my record is clean again?
No. Following reactivation, a reinstated account will be closely monitored for a length of time dependent on the nature of the original deactivation. During this time, even a minor infraction may result in an immediate re-deactivation and possible denial of future appeals.
I was told I should wait X months before I appeal. Why?
We do not believe that people change their behaviour overnight. Either way, it is important to disengage you from the site for some time in order for the ban to serve as an effective punishment.
I was told I am no longer allowed to appeal, why?
Either your offence was too harmful to let you come back, your account was created solely to violate the rules, or your previous appeals failed to show any improvement to intentions to improve.
