RAM Map Submission Guidelines

Please note that the SMW RAM Map is already completed, however you're still welcome to send entry updates if you find necessary to clarify some information. Rejected submissions or removals will be logged here.

  1. Don't submit addresses unless you are 100% sure of its behavior.
If setting an address seems to have multiple negative side effects, it is very likely to have different or unrelated properties. Make absolute sure that each address you submit works as intended and doesn't affect unrelated parts of the game.

  2. Give your submissions a proper description.
Descriptions such as "Position related" are insufficient and should be avoided. Be sure to always make your description detailed enough, such as the exact effects certain bits and values have on the address.

  3. Verify if your address range is already submitted.
It's very common to people end up submitting an entry which is part of a (large) already submitted entry. Depending on case, it is either recommended you submit the whole address range with your new information or break it in smaller pieces if you believe they're not dependent with each other at all.
