Submission Guidelines

The pages here detail all of SMW Central's submission guidelines for all resource sections and for submitting hacks. They contain information on quality expectations and important points regarding the site's core values.

Site Rules

Site Rules

All submissions must follow SMW Central's Site Rules where applicable. Failure to do so will result in the removal of your hack or resource and repeat offenses may result in a section or site ban. Submissions that are already accepted on the site after a new policy goes into effect are may be exempt from certain rules depending on the severity of the rule-breaking.

Also, our moderation teams are only human and may accept a hack or resource with rule-breaking content unknowingly. We reserve the right to remove those submissions or revert the acceptance of that submission after the offending content is discovered.

Prohibited Material

The following files are not allowed to be included in any submission and will get your submission immediately removed and result in at minimum a site warning.

  1. ROM Files
Including a ROM file, of any format, will result in your submission being immediately removed and your account being issued a Site Infraction.

  2. Executable Files
Outside of Tool submissions, do not include any file that can be executed in your submission, including but not limited to: files ending in .com, .exe, .dll, .bat, .js, .jse, .vbs, .vbe, .docm, .dotm, .xlm, .xlsm, .xltm, .xla, .pptm, .potm, .ppsm, .sldm, .sh, .jar, .msi, or .so.

  3. Any malware, copyrighted, or illegal material
This includes music files in PCM format that can be used with an MSU-1 enabled hack.

  4. Large Files
The largest size the ZIP archive of your submission can be is 10 megabytes (MB), which excludes uploading any files larger than that to the archives. It is recommended that if you need to give access to large files to users along with your submission (e.g. legitimate MSU-1 PCM files) to host them in a permanent off-site location.
