- Any hack submitted and accepted to the SMWC database will be considered eligible for Hall of Fame consideration for the year it was first accepted.
- Any hack submitted and in Waiting at the end of the calendar year is eligible for Hall of Fame consideration for that year.
- Hall of Fame committee members may present exceptions to the above criteria for consideration.
Who is on the Hall of Fame committee?
The current members of the committee can be seen in the Hall of Fame Committee group. SMW Central staff manages the group but membership has been informed by members of the committee themselves. Committee members are not allowed to engage in discussion on hacks they either made or served as a project director.
Who writes the write-ups for the Hall of Fame classes?
The Hall of Fame Editorial team works alongside the committee to write and/or edit the blurbs that get submitted for each of the hacks of the Classes.
How is a hack selected for the Hall of Fame?
Each member of the Hall of Fame committee submits their personal selection of inductees. When the combined results of the ballots are released, the Committee decides the final inductees by consensus.
Where did the idea to do a Hall of Fame come from?
We must tip our hat to the Doom community’s Cacowards, which was a source of inspiration for this endeavour.
