The 123,456,789th page view!

Jeorge535 got the 123,456,789th page view!

Regarding bsnes

I hereby declare the previous news post null and void as it was the result of an internal miscommunication.

While it definitely is our long-term goal to require all hacks to be bsnes-compatible, we definitely aren't there yet. The release of a new Addmusic was a big step in the right direction, however. Even when we feel that we are ready to make the switch, we will, of course, warn you in advance, giving you time to adjust. Note, though, that we are going through with this eventually. Even though it is not yet a requirement, we would definitely recommend that all new projects should aim to be bsnes compatible.

New Submission Rules

Kieran's edit: Read the latest news!

For those of you who haven't been following HuFlungDu has recently released a beta of a SNES compatible Addmusic, found here. This new addmusic will lead to some new changes with Hack and music submissions. These can be summed up into one rule for each:

Music: Your music must work with AMM or AM4
Hacks: Your hack must work with BSNES v0.70 or higher

For specifics changed to Addmusic requirements, please check here

It's almost March!

Here's a little reminder.

You know how it sometimes happens that when you post, and someone else makes a post after yours which causes another page to appear, your post happens to be the last post of the page?

Some people think that their post will be ignored because of this, which is partially true since there are some people who don't read the last posts of the page because they don't know about the blue arrow. However, this doesn't justify the fact that these very same people repost their post that didn't make it to the new page. This counts as postcount++ increasing in rank, so please refrain from doing so.

Have a fine almost-spring day.

Hey.

Level signups for SMWCP2 haven't started yet, but I know an extremely large amount of people want to design one. To ensure the highest quality possible, I have created a "guidelines" thread explaining various things - from the actual claiming, to design strategies. It is also advised that you read the SMWCP2 "Planning" forum as well.

The F.A.Q. has been updated!

Our F.A.Q. section has been in dire need of an update, and here it is! Links have been updated, new questions added, and information has been made more... informative!

EDIT: The F.A.Q. has been updated again, with some extra clarifications, some fixed typos, and a new section on Custom Patches (thanks a million Iceguy)

Whoops!

If you were a user trying to register on the website in the past 30 hours or so, you may have encountered an error caused by the new lottery system. You should be able to register normally with no issues now.

Sorry for the confusion.

New site scheme.

leod made a new site scheme and wouldn't stop bugging me until I made a news article flaunting it for him. I haven't even checked it yet, so I can't even do a generic "OH MAN IT PROBABLY ROCKS". For all I know, it could suck. I don't like lying. Check it out for yourself and then let me know if it sucks or not. Also, there's a countdown in the top right corner which is probably death or something but who knows.

This is the most formal news article ever, brought to you by TSA, your friendly hidden ghost house.

Raibysedit: Well folks, there are still some to be moderated yet, so the number may dip lower if any are rejected, but I thought I might point out to anyone who hasn't noticed, that the ExGFX count has reached 2000! You guys sure know how to submit graphics...^_^;

Hi

DEAR STAFF: You should probably read this thread. It's important. If you're a regular user .. uh .. hi?

...oh, actually, this might be a good time to note that SMWCP2 is still in its planning stages and could use some more help. We're looking for a few more compositions and hand-drawn tilesets to get the ball rolling. Check out the stickies in that forum (or check out anything in that forum, really) if you're interested. We've made a ton of progress in a month, to say the least.
