I went and added a section to the site's FAQ that most people will find useful, entitled "Technical Fixes, and Helpful Tips." This section is intended to compile all of those 'bugs' in SMW, and their fixes - such as a silver P-Switch acting blue when bringing it through a pipe. It also contains information you may find useful, like a list of all the boss levels in SMW. Credit goes to andy_k_250 for compiling these tips, and the original posters.
The public C3 award voting has started. The vote thread is stickied in the Announcements forum.
In addition, we now have SIX HUNDRED ExGFX files hosted! This is also quite an achievement.
Come chat with us! Chat is temporarily down.
C3 is over.
And the weekend is over... depending on your timezone. Therefore, C3 has come to an end.
It turned out a lot better than I expected. I consider this a triumph and a huge success.
200 Custom Sprites!
Congratulations, spriters! We now have 200 custom sprites in our custom sprite section! That's quite an achievement!
Enjoy day two of C3!
The first SMW Central Creativity Convention has started!
File Bin and C3
First of all, we'd like to announce the File Bin where you can upload whatever SMWC related stuff you want: Released files, pictures for posts, layout files, avatars, etc. You can also use it to upload C3 entries without having to submit them to one of the site's sections. You can find it at http://bin.smwcentral.net/.
Also, C3 starts this Saturday. To be more precise, it starts around 5 AM (server time). To see current server time, check the Timezone field in Edit Profile or log out and check the ropebox.
When C3 opens, we'll create the C3 forum for you to post your entires in. Make one thread per project. Although, if you have a lot of stuff (such as a ton of unrelated ExGFX files), it might be a good idea to make a single thread instead.
C3 is two days long, so it wouldn't be too fun if everything happens on the first day. Therefore, I suggest that you flip a coin or something to decide which day to post it on. If you have more than one project, maybe post some on Saturday and some on Sunday?
Once C3 is over, we'll some trophies to hand out. Most of them will be picked by judges, but a few will be picked by the public (similar to the SMWC Mosts). After an unspecified amount of days of judging and counting the votes, the winners will be announced.
If you have any questions about C3, ask in its announcement thread.
Less than two weeks left until C3, so what are you waiting for? GET BACK TO WORK!
If you don't know what C3 is, read about it here.
And remember, it takes place on November 1st-2nd, so you'd better hurry up!
DAYS UNTIL C3: 2
(Edit: Oh, and in other news. I finally handed out the trophies from the last Mosts. (SNN reminded me about 25 times, but I was too lazy!)

Second, I'll be hosting a community IRC event on Saturday the 18th if anyone is interested in learning the basics of hacking Super Metroid. You can check this thread for more information. - Mistress Viarra

No more "Guest Removal Logs" + Halloweener!
Please, we can do our jobs just fine by ourselves. For that we won't accept any sort of "third party" hack moderation - those decisions are only for the hack moderators to make. But you are still free to point out hacks that need the attention of a hack moderator in the IRC!
Also, please join us in celebrating the lovely month of October with your host, The Heavenly Haunter. Check here for details!
