(I think it's quite obvious I'm a fan of Twilight Princess.
)
There isn't much of a story yet, all that entails is that Mario heads off and finds himself in a strange kingdom. All I really have so far are screenshots.
Start of Level 1, Mushroom Hill 1. The first level is a night-time themed level.
The level is just a bunch of mushroom platforms, with the occasional vine being used to give yourself a boost.
See that brown leaf over there? There's an enemy hiding in it, waiting to pounce.
It was a jumping pirahna plant! Lakitu likes to hang out in the bushes and rain down spikey death on you as well.
... These thing's'll be quite rare, so much so that I don't even know why I bothered to make it.
Midpoint
The second part of the level starts off above here, but then you drop down to this wooden bridge.
The second part isn't too long, so this is the end of the first level.
The start of the second level. I combined the typical grassland and the mushroom graphics. I've never been a fan of those ropes, since they're not bouncy and shit.
Again, watch out for hidden enemies.
A Wiggler stands guard here, waiting to slap you with a trout. *runs*
pointless screenshot.
it just highlights going to a simple bonus path, with a dragon coin.
Midway through the first half of the level, Para-Goombas start dropping in.
Again, vines help you pass the chasms and EPIC DEATH pits.
The end of the level leads you down, I guess closer to the ground where the forest is.
...cause here the forest and mushroom graphics are mixed. This level so far is devoid of enemies, and I think I'll go for a ghost theme on this one (kinda like Ghost Plains from my older hack.)
Blue slanted pipe. Getting the collision to work on the custom Map16 (due to the slanted pipe not being selectable by default with this tileset) to work wasn't fun. D:
shoot out of the pipe when you enter that green one...
Stone bridge. I only put this art in here cause half of the level art was empty, due to there not being any hills in this art set.
Current features: No spin jump, SMB3 like Koopas, and the "free scroll " patch.
