hello I just have 2 mini size problems that can probably be fixed.

I used a remade midi of Mega Man 3's intro and turned from midi-MML- text.. everything looks fine inside the text file but addmusic says the octave is to low have a look below

I tried to redit octaves addmusic said line 12 through 50 were to high I tried setting at o4- o5 or o3 to low

addmusic said lines 100 through 111 were to high...

s.n.n do you know of a way to set the octaves so they won't be so high or to low for addmusic to accept the text file ?

Did you look at my mml that should explain what kind of problems I'm having ?

The only way to set the octaves is to do so manually. Try this:

Ctrl F and find "o6" Anywhere you find one, replace it with o5. After that, ctrl+f "o1" and replace it with o2. This should balance the octaves so that you don't get any errors - but if you still do, post the MML again and I'll look into it myself.

I made some custom MML's over the past 2 days for levels I had 3 insert just fine, however though they will not play at all, also there is no sound when playing through a level when I exit that level with the custom music the screen turns black and crashes.





I have a very bad problem....

When I first inserted custom music into a smw rom everything worked great accept that music needed to be fixed a little, However though when I reinsert music back into the same rom the music disappears completely from the OW and LEVELS causing my game to crash when I press start and select to exit out of a level with the custom music. There is No custom music being played or sound if I insert it in a level...

when I import my custom music into my rom do I need to only do addmusic smw.smc INIT only once ? and when I need to reinsert the music just skip that part ? I really would like to know why my custom music is playing at all that includes 90% of S.N.N request musics.

I was under the impression that you had to put INIT in the rom everytime you wanted music in the gaem.





Ok I have a very bad, bad problem getting my personal spc or any body else's music to play in a level. I don't know if it is the new version of addmusic that came out 2 or 3 months ago when somebody found a update for it, but the damn music will not play in any levels plus when I finish the level the screen turns black and crashes the rom WTF ? also my personal spc's are under 30 55 seconds total they do work in the overworld. has anybody else had this problem before ? I am at a dead end here and I'm ready to give up on it.

Hey I'm not requesting help or any music hacking but I noticed almost all of you are using spc2midi. I spoke with translator about the bug when saving spc's to midi's and not having it open up in any midi editiing suites or programs... I sent the original creator a message about this and hopefully he'll the action here and might make a special update to his software.... I'm just trying to be nice and help out a few of all especially SNN Spigmike and andres.

I have a quick question about the map16 page, I just used darklink's exgfx hack with the DBZ cloud background. his map16 uses map16 page 12 in LM I have a lot of data there that uses BG's tiles. I asked him if I can move my current map16 page to another blank slot which I did. the BG works perfectly but all of my custom BG's meaning the level's are gone and don't know which map16 page to look at and readjust to the move. Is there anyway I can fix this problem ? I put back the map16G into slot 1F but is a no go.

I just now fixed my problem somebody can go ahead and trash this if they want.




Is there a video tutorial on OW editing ? or a video on youtube where I can look at ? the written tutorial that was made a few years back doesn't make since to me at all and aggrevates me.

I checked google and youtube but didn't locate very much any help would be great.

You have 2 choices ?

1.Go to mario fan game galaxy.com and look at the original sprite rips and get it from there import them to yy-chr 0.98 under 16 bit color depth you can use Paint shop pro, graphics gale or Photoshop.

2.you can open up the SMAS rom, change to 4bpp snes style in yy-chr and search for them which is easier and then put it in your ExGFX file or your allgfx.bin

Ok, I have a bit of a problem here, late last year I had requested S.N.N to do my MTM Morning time surfing remix, when the request got completed it sounded horrible, the reprucutions, the Pitch was way to damn high and not the original one I had posted back in september, plus it had frequently crashed ZSNES.
Along the road I lost a copy of the original mml, I think it may still be archived here at smwcentral... I hope... but I do have the midi.

Can I change the pitch back to the way I had it plus get rid of that damn annoying trumpet instrument ? any help would be great, but the one that is archived aint cutting it... :(

I'm reworking one of my midi's again I almost got all the octaves correct.
Addmusic says that Line 86,94,97,105 have octave errors but I can't seem to locate those joker's. Might need a numbering tool... can someone look at this and tell me which ones I need to correct ? thanks in advance...

When I started my hack 2 years ago I put SMAS music patch on my hack and change the intro music to a level music, can I do that with custom music ? if so will it need to be done by hexing the rom address ? I tried to do it the manual way but my rom crashed after the end of the intro sequence.

Is it possible for somebody to do a large blooper sprite. the size could equal of that of a large koopa, snifit or boo. also this blooper will be used as a boss and take 5 hits ether from shells or blocks, no fireballs.
If anyone could do this it would be great.

I have a question about my new mml file I'm working with, I uses ctrl+h method to shrink 2 notes in 2 channels.
When I tested the music it was kind of sluggish, S.N.N. told me to use the "T" command to adjust the tempo in my music file, but I don't know.... could someone please explain to me how to do this please ?
