About a month ago, I remember mentioning something to SomeGuy712x about how there really should be a way to turn video annotations into subtitles. This tool that does exactly that!
I thought of using some external application to extract the annotations and I wanted to tell him about it, but I forgot about it and what it was called (and I'm not sure if its results would be good either).
That doesn't mean this tool isn't useful, it is, thanks!

Surprised YouTube didn't even think to do this.
Nah, YT is mostly about adding features no one will use or removing the useful ones. They rarely do something good.
Sort by newest, they should appear. The comments you post should be at the top, unless YT did something I'm not aware of. That, or they went into spam for some reason... I remember that YT comments section is broken for a long while anyway.
In any case, currently your comment/s do/es not appear for me. But I'm not sure.
The comments on there tho. YT comments in a nutshell.
Can you still open the Fighter Selection dropdown in your profile under the locked Smash Bros rankset? I can but I don't know if that's because I'm staff. I was specially assigned my Boss through means other than choosing it myself.
It seems that I can still open it, but I can't choose anyone else because they're locked (obviously), and I know it's intended to be that way after you make your choice.
I think only the image. I'm not sure if pages stay in cache. If a page contains the image, it will get that from cache if available, but if the image is not in cache, it will try to get that again from server. I think the image is still available in your browser's cache, which could be why you can still see it and I can't.
I don't know much about these things, so I'm sorry if I got it wrong.
I agree with RanAS on Idea 1, allowing MP4 would allow users to make use of its controls if they want to see a few seconds back or pause, rather than having to wait for the entire GIF to loop back. MP4 files are also smaller than GIFs in most cases I've seen, but I'm not sure all browsers can show them in page; you might have to do a fallback to GIF or something for that case.
And, yeah, compress the GIFs, you don't always need every frame of the GIF to be a completely new one, and a few artifacts here and there don't matter that much to me.
I'm not sure we need ESRB or some rating system for the games here. Almost all of them don't feature NSFW content, but if they do, red text should be enough. No need for a whole rating system for a few games that went out of their way.
I've been waiting for this for a long time! It's good to know they're still working on it. I forgot about it until recently... Blame my short mind but I can't wait to get it.
I've also not completed the first one though, only had time to play a few levels, but I liked it.
On another note,

Today (July 21st) marks the fourth anniversary of Freedom Planet! And, of course—while you're at it, you can play as Sash Lilac as a guest character in Runbow and as one of the fighters in Indie Pogo (released a few days ago)!
I know this post is quite old now, but why did you not mention Super Indie Karts making... (wait, what was the purple one's name... oh right) Lilac available as a playable character too? I'm not sure when they added her in, but I think she's been there for a while, or at least the last time I checked, because I'm not sure if they changed things around since then. I could also be wrong about my claims because it's been a long time ago and I don't remember exactly. I checked the cover art, it's likely she's still there.
I don't like disallowing only certain people from using some stupid words. Everyone should follow the same rules for what they can and can't mention. With that said, ni

Ultimately, this is not for you to decide. Nobody here is under any obligation to report anything to SMWCentral or its team. It is their work and they alone get to decide when to release it and under what circumstances. Quite a few people knew that this was coming, but kept silent out of respect. Respect that some people here are clearly still lacking. This is exactly the reason why some people who feel like they should have been informed, were not informed.
I agree. Same with asking FuSoYa to release LM's source code, because open-source or whatever. FuSoYa currently doesn't want to do that, it's their decision and I respect that. Complaining about their decision on their program won't solve much. It's their program, they do what they want with it.
If you want an open-source program to edit MarioWorld levels so much, why don't you make it yourself?

I think a big problem with SMWCentral is its sense of entitlement. I respect the staff and that they use their free time for all of us. Mario hacking would not be the same without their efforts. However, the site is in service of its users, and not the other way around. I don't think working on the site as a staff member should give you any more rights than a normal user.
I think the same. I like the staff and I think the site wouldn't be the same without them, but... I'm not sure if being staff member of some site should give you the right to know that some tool releases and when. That's for the author to decide if they want to make it known in advance or not. I'd still abuse my powers if I was staff member.ops, i didn't say that, pls don't take that in account if you make me staff some day.
If you guys don't like that LM3.xx makes incompatibilities with other tools or some other problem, why don't you disallow usage of it in that contest or whatever, and only allow of 2.xx or even 1.xx. I don't know why it would be so difficult to do that, knowing that the 2.xx versions are still available in the tools section in some way. I know, using 2.xx would make the features of 3.xx unavailable, but wouldn't it be the same if 3.00 released at a date within the contest's timeline?
Personally, I've not used LM past 1.65 (last time I did was around 5 years ago) and I don't really take part in the contests, so I don't think my opinion holds much here, but I wanted to express my thoughts on the matter too.
This is the first time that I know in which I address a serious topic, so I'm sorry if I didn't do it well or my points were bad.
For me it's a good day if I manage to do something useful for the day, play some games, go for a walk, and/or watch TV. Even if it rains, I could look through the window at it. If I can do at least one of these, I consider it a good day.
