This is it. But remember that it redirects your intro level ("Welcome to dinosaur land...") to level 1C5 instead of C5.

Even after restoring in iTunes? That's strange... did you restore it from a backup, or as a new iPod?

You can move the tab menu by right clicking and unchecking the "Tabs on Top" option.

And yeah it was updated recently, but betas have been out since July of last year.

No offense, but honestly, try things and research before bitching about stuff.

Oh okay I think I get what you want. You want the intro level to be playable, and then show a message and go to the overworld.

You can do this, easy. Just put the display message sprite not right at the beginning of the level. Then it will display on whatever screen you put it on, and the level will be playable until then.

What is your point? By me saying that BETAS have been out since July, I was explaining how people are able to say that they have "gotten used to it."

You are correct, the final release was just a few days ago. But the features have been available for testing for 9 months or so.

Edit: Oh and just so you know, you can get any version of almost any app on FileHippo.

IIRC, you can change those bytes in the cfg_editor.exe that is included with Sprite Tool 1.40. It works just like Tweaker, if you've ever used that. But you load a *.cfg of a sprite to change it. In the middle column there is a spot to turn on those bytes. "Bit 1" in that screenshot refers to the first digit of Extra Property byte 1, and bit 2 refers to the second.

There is no need for any of that, actually. I did not remember correctly, and looking at the shyguy.asm sprite I got this figured out (it was a learning process for me too).

There is one sprite, shyguy.asm. There are then multiple *.cfg files that all point to the shyguy.asm, such as shyguy_rideable_red.cfg or shyguy_rideable_spin_kill_blue.cfg. These have all the possible combinations of extra properties, so there is no need to mess with the *.cfg yourself because you point Sprite Tool to the *.cfg file that has the properties you want.

Hope this answers your question, because it sure was a good learning experience for me!

Edit: Further clarified something.

The only thing I can think of is that it didn't save properly? Like it was halfway through or something when the program exited.

That is very strange... and you had the same problem? Even after restoring it completely, as if it was brand new and nothing was on it? Alright then...

Do the same thing again. Except this time, instead of just clicking restore, hold shift and click it. It will bring up a file selection window. Navigate to one of these files, depending on what generation your iPod is:
First Generation
Second Generation
Third Generation
Fourth Generation
And let the restore run. We will see from there. Oh and make sure that you set up as new iPod, not restore from backup of "(whatever your iPod is named)."

Sure thing, I hope it helps you.

Also, if I am wrong somewhere, someone who knows please call me out! I want to know! :P

No. I want to enter the intro level, the message pops up, it disappears, then goes through the level.

So Kaijyuu, just set $0109 to 00?
Oh. My skills at misunderstanding are remarkable... ah well. glad to know that you got it sorted!

Yes. This is just FuSoYa's way of celebrating April Fool's Day with us. :)

-Please reply-
1. Set the level mode (the Mario Head button) to mode 1E or 1F, depending on your needs.

2. You have to ExAnimate a palette. More info here.

Everyone always follows the Mario die method... It's YouTube, I'm telling you. Every tutorial I have seen instructs it to be done this way.

Well now I am forced to come to the conclusion that it is indeed a hardware problem. I was tipped off at first when you said that the iPod said "No match found" because that has to do with the Voice Commands (hold the home button and speak a command). And since you say that the sound still fully works, then I will have to say that the display is faulty. You can go to the Apple Store and tell them it's been like that since, day one, they will most likely give you another on the spot.

I am curious though. If you would, try something for me? Press a button, as if you are going to unlock the iPod normally, and drag your finger across the bottom as if you are dragging the slider.

The reason I ask is becasue the way that the iPod Touch and iPhone are made the digitizer (the actual touch part) and the LCD are separate pieces. So even if the display is busted, it doesn't necessarily mean that the digitizer is. It would just be fun to know, that's all :P

Lunar Magic now has a built in restore system. And in order for it to work, you have to point it to a clean ROM that will remain clean and stay in the same place. You only have to do this once. I recommend making a copy of a clean ROM and naming it "zzzzz.smc." That way, it will always be at the bottom of a directory and will not be overwritten or deleted.

Tile Specific Sprites.

Is it the ones that say that they float in the water?
There are no falling brown platforms, only gray.

You can change the graphics loaded with the purple poison mushroom button ("Change GFX in Header") and you can import the background from another level by going to Level > Copy Background Image and the inputting another level number.
