Sorry about the noobish question but, what is this in general concepts ? I mean, can we create any song with any instrument like Megaman X songs ?
Because the Brambles song is almost the same the original !!



And other question, can I apply the .asm with xmas to my hack? It´s not finished but its in progrees and it is 2MB of size.

Yeah , i was wondering if anyone of you have some kind of "document" where says what tilemaps match with what sprite. I mind, Sprite Tool has a lot of custom sprites but i dont know which tilemap i have to insert...

Yeah i knew there was a tilemap folder. I guess the only way to know how the sprite look like is to look at the .bin tilemaps with yy-chr...

Oh, and please help me with another problem. I have downloaded some of custom sprites (YI Pack number 2) and i have inserted them in a level. They work allright, but after some time, they stop and act like "A completely blank tile"... they also turns into another graphic (like mushrooms or flowers)..

Why is that happening?

Hey, i had applied the MORE.ASM and the MUSIC.ASM with xkas, and i have used addmusic 4.0
I inserted Brambles music into 20.txt and it works perfectly !! but i wanna use the new "slots" like 60 or 70, but in the game looks like MUTE. what i am doing wrong ?

I think that the solution of my problem ( of MUTE musics if I use 60-7F and all the other slots) is because i haven´t used the INIT command of addmusic4.0
I have to say that i have used the init command of the others addmusics versions, but not 4.0

And im trying to do it but I cant, this is the error:

EDIT: Well I have tried with an SMW clean rom and it still doesn´t work. BTW, this were my steps:

1) Expand the rom to 4MB with Lunar Expand.
2) Cmd: addmusic smw.smc INIT
3) Cmd: xkas music.asm smw.smc
4) Cmd: xkas more.asm smw.smc
5) Cmd: addmusic smw.smc LEVEL

and the new spaces (or slots) doesn´t work :/

Hi, im Carlos182 and I would like to share my hack to you. It is not finished yet, but im working. Time ago I posted some SS and a Demo that was removed because of a few details (like palettes). And please, if someone can, delete the old thread.

So, this is my first hack, and it´s called Super Mario: Universos Paralelos. Im from Mexico, so I speak spanish and this hack will be 100% spanish. Actually we are not interested anymore in new hacks that contains another story of Mario, we are interested in other characters (like Azure Chaotic, or the same Zelda that is in progress). But since I was a kid, I wanted to do my own story of Mario, so I am doing it now. If you people dont get interested in my work, just don´t look at it and we won´t have any problem :)

The story:
Peach was captured by guesswho... but it´s an alternative story. I mind, SMW didn´t exist never. Mario was traveling by some kind of worlds, but some of them seems like from another Universe. Mario was teletransporting to differents Universes!!

Well, during the game process you will get more information about the story (but this one will be in spanish, so if you wanna understand it you will learn spanish.... or use a translator).

I really dont need help to translate this to english. Maybe I will upload another version in english. But BTW, maybe its time for those people who speak english to learn spanish. I mean, since kid I was playing the whole games in english and I always have to translate them.


Anyway, I wanna use AddMusic 4.0 but my rom is now 2 MB, but I really need more slots to more musics... So if anyone knows how to do it please tell me. I dont care if I need to start again in a clear SMW rom, it´s just to extract all the ExGFX, palettes and levels and insert them again.

This tutorial tells you everything you need to know.
I have used it and my rom has a lot of new musics, including Brambles!! And I have to say that it´s my hack... I mind, I didn´t need to start with a SMW Clean rom.

Ok, so I need to advertice you for this:
When you copy the bunchs of bytes to the new Addresses for musics like 60 - 7F and so, and you test the new musics, they will work in a very strange mode, so dont get scared, when you finish the whole tutorial, those songs will work perfectly. Im just saying this because in the tuto says that we can test the rom BEFORE apply the .asm, and I was scared because it worked in a strange mode, but then I inserted the .asm (til the end of the tuto) and it works perfectly.

Another point, this whole thing maybe will screw up some of your levels (if you use a modifyed rom). But I think we can fix it inserting again the ExGFX files and the .mwl levels.
