I don't think there's any way to fix it, even if you don't put anything past screen 0F. I had the same problem and had to work around it.

Alright, nobody seems to be replying to my topic, so how do I record the title screen movements? I installed the ASM, started a new game, entered the first level, moved around like I want it to do in the title screen, then press F2 to make a savestate when I'm done. But when I insert the savestate, it says it doesn't have any data. There were 2 zst files, so I tried both. Nothing.

Your palette work is certainly getting a lot better. I've got the patch for beta 7 lying around somewhere, I'll play it soon and tell you what I think. That castle level looks pretty cool too.

Do the land formations and shapes look natural? I wanted to achieve that before I move on to decorations.

Looks excellent so far. Try to avoid perfectly square edges like the one to the right of the waterfall at 0:12, though.

They're also REALLY ugly. If you absolutely have to have to have objects that damage you floating in the air, use ExGFX or something, or edit a tile you don't use and make it act like a muncher. Generally you should just work around it though. Walls are better for making sure the player doesn't go where they're not supposed to.

Half-Life 2. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but it was an absolute masterpiece. Episodes 1 and 2 were pretty good too, and Ep 2 had one of the greatest moments in the history of gaming- Into the Breach. Towards the end, the entire place gets SWARMED with antlions, and this starts blaring through your speakers.

Whenever I insert the savestate, it tells me there's no data. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. I'm apparently supposed to make a movie ending with a savestate... that's a little vague, but I tried it anyway. I opened the ROM in ZSNES 1.42, made a new file, opened the level I wanted to use, started recording, moved around like I wanted it to do on the title screen, made a savestate, then stopped the recording and closed the window. No data. I did the same thing minus stopping the recording, but still, nothing. Somewhere along the line here, I went wrong.

I used one for my hack, and I had the same problem, but the two weren't related. I edited C7, and I replaced it with a clean copy to fix it... if you're sure you didn't edit C7, then I'm stumped.

Alright, I deleted my old romname.zst just in case, played through my level with the ASM installed, pressed F2 and closed out ZSNES, and now romname.zst isn't there.

...Fuck. That's where I was looking since I was using 1.52 for some time, but 1.42 saves everthing in the folder with the emulator. Problem is, when I open the romname.zst that's in the emulator folder, it tells me there's no data. This is starting to piss me off. A lot.
