Alright, I think I found the problem. It's simple, actually. If you need to rename ExGFX files "ExGFX##.bin", I'm guessing you have to do something similar with Map16 files. What do I need to name them? What folder do I need to put them in?

Several 3-up moons all next to each other = bad idea.
Making paths out of water tiles = bad idea.
Not using end tiles for ledges = bad idea.
The level design in general fails. Play through some of the featured hacks, you could learn a lot from them.
And why is there so much damn blue?
EDIT: While I was typing that, the "Don't remake levels" tip was shown at the top.
Alright, I'm going to go through each screenshot and tell you what you did wrong.
Chasm of Chaos
Screen 1- First of all, the white background, blue sky and brown foreground look horrible. Those jumping note blocks are in a really awkward place, too. Putting them right on top of a ledge looks weird.

Screen 2- Looks like you just stuck random blocks all over the place. Coin blocks make really bad walls/platforms, and you have 3 extra blocks sticking out that look a little weird.

Screen 3- ...What? So you did just stick random blocks in completely inappropriate places. What are those green switch blocks there fore? Also, put an end tile on your ledge.

Screen 4- Again, why is that green switch block there? Why are there icy blue turn tiles and grey cement blocks garbled together to make platforms? Why are there 3 3-up moons next to each other? Why did you use a green star block as an end for the ground?

Screen 5- Looks bland. Avoid long, straight, boring platforms.

Screen 6- Those water tiles look like shit. Fix them

Screen 7- Not bad, I guess, but those better be unbreakable turn blocks.

Screen 8- Very bad idea. Besides, if you're going to remake an extremely popular level, don't add a note saying it's a remake of an extremely popular level.

Plains in Peril
Screen 1- Half of the chimney is blue. If you're going to do a palette edit, don't just change random colors to blue.

Screen 2- Nothing to say here.

Screen 3- Not bad, but it looks a bit bland. If you're going to put those slopes sticking out, put a sliding shell-less koopa on there or something.

Screen 4- That looks really, REALLY bad. Don't use question blocks- or anything that isn't completely solid, for that matter- to border water.

Screen 5- This is even worse. With those coins there, the water is just floating on air for no reason. You just can't use water that freely without making it look weird.

Screen 6- Don't make really long, flat areas. They're boring.

Screen 7- Another reason changing random colours on a palette is a bad idea. The corners of those blocks are blue, but the rest is brown.

Screen 8- Don't put stuff right over dirt tiles like that. Put a ledge under those black piranha plants.

Screen 9- Put an edge tile on that ledge.

Screen 10- Not too bad of an idea. Why is there a dirt tile sitting next to a ledge? If that's supposed to look good, it doesn't.

Metroid Prime 1 was one of the best games I've ever played. They screwed up MPH, though; they focused so much on the online mode that the single-player suffered, and said online mode sucked. It's impossible to go through an entire match without someone disconnecting, and when you weren't up against a disconnector, you'd be up against a hacker with permanent cloak/deathalt. I just sold it for $20.

This is a really simple question. What do I need to rename the Map16 file? Where do I need to put it? That's all. Bump... again.

Well, damn. Is there a specific folder it needs to be in, or any other reason F6 won't do anything?
Also, since it won't let you double-post for 24 hours, I guess bumps are for 24 hours.

I put the files in the same folder as both my ROM and Lunar Magic, opened the ROM in Lunar Magic, pressed F3, pressed F6, opened the 16x16 tile editor, pressed F3, pressed F6, renamed them Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin, pressed F3, pressed F6, opened the 16x16 tile editor, pressed F3, and pressed F6. Nothing happened. I looked through the menus for some way to insert Map16 files, but I couldn't find anything. This is really, really, REALLY frustrating.
EDIT: Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but F9 won't save my work in the tile editors, either. I tried to change the palette of a log, and I pressed F9. Nothing. I clicked a different tile and clicked the one I changed, and it was still using the old palette.

I'd like something from the original Castlevania. Anything. And if it's possible to rip GBA graphics, I'd like the Corridor FG/BG from Aria of Sorrow.

Oh my god, is that the Jeopardy theme? Pure genius.

I haven't played many, but both Second Reality Project hacks were awesome because of the amazing level design.

Hmm... If I make a change, press F9, save the level, then go up one level and back, it resets all the changes. I thought I was supposed to extract/insert GFX after pressing F9 or something, but it doesn't work.

Runescape. I was addicted to it years ago, but I can't stand it now. Nothing's really changed; I just thought every game I played was good when I was 10. It's a grindfest.

Lava Spire Daredevil Run. AAAAAARGH. I died at least 5 times... I did get a shitload of star bits for my trouble, though.

Alright, I'm trying to add the Ancient Castle/Temple files from the ExGFX section to my hack. I renamed them Map16FG.bin and Map16FGG.bin (because otherwise it won't work), but I can't seem to add them anywhere except the first page, which screws everything up. I thought I just had to scroll down to a different page, but it doesn't make a difference.

Whoops. I was pressing F6 instead of F3. I renamed them Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin and added them to page 0x2, but it just inserts garbled graphics.

The OW is a little flat, and that river could probably use some more bends.

Oh. It's working, thanks.
EDIT: Okay, whenever I save the level to the ROM and go up/down a level and back or try to test my ROM, it goes back to the way it was. I tried opening the Map16 editor and pressing F2, and it gave me the option to save. I did so, but it still doesn't work.
EDIT 2: I didn't know saving it to 0x2 didn't work. 'Kay, got it.

*sigh* Bump, I guess... Lunar Magic hates me. If i go up/down a level, it stays the same, but if I close/reopen LM or run the ROM, it still just uses the 4x4 blue blocks. Why won't it save the Map16 page to the ROM?

Here's a little something I've been working on. I used the Ancient Castle/Temple ExGFX and gave it a sort of monotone chocolate-colored palette.

A sort of rocky labyrinth. I'm not sure I like it too much, though...
