Oh, you are just the worst, Maxx. You made a convincing link, but instead of a super secret rom set, I get a rickroll. D:

I'm not falling for that, Maxx. I saw through your plan to rickroll me a second time, and therefore your plan is foiled..!

I woke up at 4 AM to my sister telling me its snowing, it was a bit, but nothing special. This morning, at about 11 AM, the entire neighborhood was snowed over. I'm kinda happy that it's snowing for ONCE here. What is pretty scary though is that it collapsed a few branches on the trees, and knocked over half of the bamboo in my back yard. As an added bonus, the snow got so heavy it collapsed my awning in the back yard. The entire awning is bent inwards, but I guess a foot of snow will do that.

But I wasn't expecting snow where I live. The entire town is literally a deadzone at the moment, it's like an abandon, frozen wasteland.. If I can find my camera I'll post pictures of it, although I just hope I didn't lose it when I went exploring during the hail storm.

In this level, there are a few parts you have to beat. Each area requires you to defeat harder enemies, which will cause the 2 blocks to disappear, revealing another trial. I don't have a BG for this level yet, but it will soon be created, I'm thinking of making a pine tree type of background, to fit the geography of the overworld.

Now for something a bit cooler than some of the other things I've done lately;

1/2 Silver Coins! They are worth half of a Silver Coin. Collect 2 and get a Silver Coin! I'm not too sure I want to release it, though.

It's impossible, like Davros said.

FuSoYa probably used an unreleased version of Lunar Magic, which was able to handle the file size of the hack. So basically, you can't ever unlock the hack successfully, and even if you did, you wouldn't be able to use the Graphics, ExGraphics, or anything in the hack because there is no compatible version of Lunar Magic.

If you wanted the graphics/ExGFX, you need to rip it manually.

Chances are you're using the Yoshi's house/Switch Palace tileset. You'll either need to use ExGFX, or change the graphics set. To change the FG graphics, go to Level > Change index of Graphics in header > Change FG/BG GFX. Then click on the dropdown menu and change it to whatever you want.

Because Santa watches everyone, this means everyone should be nice to receive presents, right? Maybe the staff is Santa, and they are watching regular members of the website. If they are watching us, maybe the contest is to see "who is naughty and who is nice", the people on the nice list get a prize when the contest is over.

By using Layer 2 on certain levels, I am able to put rocks and such in the ground without extra coding or cutoffness.

I am and always have been horrible at the simplest of riddles, so I'm actually pretty surprised I got the answer. Merry Christmas and such, SMWCentral.

I'm pretty happy on how today turned out, I got M&L Superstar Saga, finally. I also got some candy and about $65 from my relatives and such. Maybe soon I can buy a DS.

Not much to show here, it's a graphics test. I remade the Hammer bro to look like someone named Colton. I changed and remapped the chainsaw to look like Bacteriophage (He told me to haha), and the Chargin' Chuck family is modified to look like Dex/MR21's current character. They're 3 of the members of another forum I go to. In fact, my entire hack was spawned from a conversation with someone on MSN in early 2007, where I said I could probably put some cameos of the forum members into a hack.

Thanks. And I don't really know how to fix the head, since that's how Dex's character looks. D:

And yeah, the spring is a Sonic type of spring. I ported the graphics to fit the small 16x16 space needed. I also have a special spring, which launches the player to the Yoshi bonus stage, and instead of the red platform on the spring, it's purple.

I want a block that puts a key in your item box, If It's posible.

Code
LDA #$0D ;Item to put in item box (Key)
STA $0DC2
LDY #$01
LDA #$29
STA $1693
RTS

If you want any other item, change 0D to any other offset, if you need a list of them, use this page. Put the code in an ASM or TXT file, and run it over TRASM (Included in Sprite Tool). Set it to tile 130, or any solid tile, and the offsets are
Mario Below: 0
All others: -1
I tested it, and it works for me. If you want it to always give you a sprite, and not turn into a used block, delete these lines;
Code
LDY #$01
LDA #$29
STA $1693

If you're using Blocktool Super Delux, use this;
Code
JMP Main : JMP Return : JMP Return : JMP Return : JMP Return : JMP Return : JMP Return
Main:
LDA #$0D ;Item to put in item box (Key)
STA $0DC2
LDY #$01
LDA #$29
STA $1693
BRA Return:
Return
RTL

ALSO; If you don't want it to spawn a Flying Key, read this topic.

Part of the Running Hell area in Cave Story. Octillery ripped the BG. It takes up all of FG3, and uses all but 1 color of palette 2. I don't know what the blocks with red on them were supposed to be. It also takes up the first 5 colors of palette 3, if you want to use the Star Block.

I also coded a simple sprite that causes the screen to shake, to mimic the original level.

For those wondering, I do have plans for the falling blocks, as seen in the screenshot. I modified the Fish Generator to generate blocks, but seeing as the generator only generated from the bottom, I tested numerous times and successfully changed it to do it at the top of the screen. You can't see the falling blocks much in the screenshot, though. The actual falling blocks are based off of Schwa's Deadweight sprite, and the ceiling is made of No Mario blocks. I have yet to modify the sprite to make the large 32x32 blocks.

The awesome thing is that the original generator only generated from the sides, but by changing various values, I made it almost completely random, so you can't stay in one place for long.

If I am able to finish this level for the demo, people are going to want to beat me with a baseball bat. With those falling blocks crushing you every 5 seconds, this level will have to be at the very end of the demo.

Could someone make a block that you can ACTUALLY Spin Jump off of like you can a sprite. I tried the one on Block Tool and it did NOT work.

Make it so the regular Block Tool can use it by the way.

Here you go. I'd think this is what you want, if spin jumped off of, you launch upwards, the height differs if you're holding the A button or not.

(restricted)
Skharr: Here you go. I tried them and they all work correctly. The .BIN files are for the original blocktool, the ASM files are the source code, in case you wanted to study/modify them. The offsets should be;
Mario Above: 0
Mario Below: 0
Mario Sides: 0
All others: -1

SwitchPipeLeftOn.bin - Usable when the switch is ON, unusable when the switch is OFF. This is the left piece of the pipe.

SwitchPipeRightOn.bin - Usable when the switch is ON, unusable when the switch is OFF. This is the right piece of the pipe.

SwitchPipeLeftOff.bin - Usable when the switch is OFF, unusable when the switch is ON. This is the left piece of the pipe.

SwitchPipeRightOff.bin - Usable when the switch is OFF, unusable when the switch is ON. This is the right piece of the pipe.

Make them all act like tile 130.
