OK I'm confused now. How was it a "definite decision", what other problems would thier be with having 150px avitars.

Any else thinking progress for this hack is going flawless?

Ah, OK. Thanks for clearing that out for me.

I guess it all comes down to getting yourself know and getting yourself involed.

Maybe just browsing and giving good feedback on most people hacks might make people seem more respected.

Your the prime example on how people see the other side of this commuity.

Out of intrest, wouldn't it be possible to actully live off the sites funds.

The 3D pictures are just amazing. I find it hard to put into words, but you really do need to see it to truly love it.

Well, yeah...since the chances of winning the lottery are comparatively low, why be restrictive about custom titles?

Because it's really a thing for moderators and those who donate?

My suggestion would be keep your prize until another user wins even if it's a ban.
That way, you could either keep your custom title/color for a day, or for a month.

It would also be kinda cool getting a "lottery winner" trophy.

Win a trophy for doing nothing. Sweet!

I took into account what most people said about my graphics, and I'm quite pleased with what turned out. Do you think this tileset would be a good one for SMWCP2?

Something odd strikes me with the way the grass leads into the dirt (if that makes sense) and I think the dirt need a bit more variation. Other than that I think it looks good :)

I also feel it's better to link ratings to reviews. What use are ratings, if you don't know why someone rated something a certain way that they did.

Also, get a few people to moderate the reviews daily, it would certainly improve this site’s reputation.

Can someone please claim a level on my behalf, I can't access the internet on weekends :(

I don't want to be that much of a pain, so just a Water/Reef themed level would be nice.

Err, shouldn't we of waited for more custom enemies before the level signups start. It's kinda important to plan around them instead of just chucking them in last second (which will probably break levels).

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear.

What I mean to say is that we're kinda leaving custom enemies until after level sign-ups. Which is OK and all BUT it means it will be hard to plan around them if the people designing the levels see an custom enemy that they would like to have in their level.

(Edit: This applies to the true original enemies or enemies that change is so drastic (see: Scientific Koopa Trooper) that a level has to be altered drastically to include them)

Seeing how most of these threads turns out, I wouldn't be surprised if this idea get trashed because it would probably be hard to implement. But seeing how your top 5 section makes me cringe, I really want you to take this over consideration.

Can you implement a simple favourite button, with the more "favourited" hacks being in the top 5. Furthermore, I suggest you implement a system where you can only have 5 "favourites" per user (you get to remove favourites as a result)

Actually I going to have to disagree with you. The current method isn't really precise at all, heck I can go to the highest rated hack right now, rate it a 1 and watch it fall into 20th place.

Of course I wouldn't but if I can do it, other people can (and probably already have). What I'm asking is if you could have a true representation of the best hacks out their by having a system that shows you like an particular hack.

BTW, I'm not asking to compliantly remove the ratings system, but to have another statistic influence what should be in the top 5 table.

Well the same goes for Youtube where you could just repeatedly dislike a video to make it less popular.

That's why Youtube have favorites.

Why rate a hack if you haven't played it yet?

EDIT: Sorry, completely misunderstood your point. It to show you liked the hack so other users can understand which hacks users find the best (out of ALL the great hacks on this site)

That's what the rating and the top 5 is for.

The problem with the top 5 is that most the scores are always equal and that there 1 rank from going from 1st to 20th, so it's not a proper representation.

Your user-name is instantly recognizable and you quite good at giving out advice as-well.

This is different though. If I read this correctly, there is no 0; you would only be able to "favorite" something. Then the top 5 hacks would be determined by the number of favorites.

I like this, the main reason being that it completely take downvoters out of the question.

That's exactly what I mean. And the reason I suggested this was to stop the "downvoters".

Although I admit that this could lead into some other problems (like people spamming the top 5 spot) so it might be worth looking into ways to improve upon my idea.
