In Haimari's Hyper Mario 1, the level カラカラさばく (the first level in world 4) isn't allowing me to progress. Clearing it doesn't seem to trigger an event, and I don't see any new paths anywhere. Could it be related to my finding the secret exit in せっかくちじゅうにでれたのに... (the lower-left level in world 2, whose secret exit doesn't appear to be intentional), or another glitch in the hack, or am I just missing something?

I didn't get an answer for this in the "Ask for Help" thread, so maybe you guys can help me out.

Also, in Hyper IV, does anyone know how to get the secret exit in すなにはまっているやしき (the ghost house in world 4)? Every path I've discovered just leads to the normal exit. |

I downloaded this hack from the site with all the complete Hyper hacks. It's patched to the proper ROM, yet opening it results in the Bad Rom message and failed checksum (like several hacks do). It seems to work properly, but the secret exit in the World 4 ghost house doesn't seem to be working. Opening it in Lunar Magic shows that both goals reveal the normal exit, although Haimari responded in the Hyper 6 thread here that it works (62 is the same issue I have; 63 is Haimari's response).
My question: how can I fix this? I'm assuming something's broken in the IPS file, so does anyone know how I can obtain an IPS file where this level functions properly? If it's actually right and if there's some sort of trick in the level such that the secret exit actually is accessible, how do I find it? |

The key will be in a ? Block right before the goal tape. You'll need to take the key through the nearby pipe, then quickly enter the pipe to the left back at the beginning of the level. You should see the keyhole from there.
